how far did you move away

Moved 330miles Glasgow to Warwick. Bought a house here but who knows how "permanent" it is, I may move back one day.
(I tend to return once/twice a year)

335 miles ,not much i miss about west yorkshire used to like haworth and trips to the east coast but being able to go to polzeath surfing and know im not on holiday is awesome ,kids (grown up) are in oxford and london so not really that far,see mum and dad every few months back in yorkshire and they come down here and build an extra holiday around it

Well, 5k miles from Joburg ---> Amsterdam, but this was with my mother (I was 15 at the time). I now live in London whilst my mother still lives in Holland, so although the distance is only a few hundred miles, the reality is it's much more. Can't see myself ever moving back, if anything our next stop will be Melbourne.

A hundred miles, from Stratford to London. Moved back ages ago though. My mum lives about 100 meters away.

Around 1300 miles when I was 20. Since then move countries few more times and currently considering New Zealand but gf doesn't even want to move out of Manchester let alone another county so probably stuck here for good. :)

In 1996 I moved 4,000km away from my family. In 2004 I moved back again for a couple of months, then moved 16,000km away.

I returned in 2007, and moved into a house 18km away from my mother.

200 miles for my first graduate job. Doors successfully opened, i'm much closer now but still far enough that I don't get people 'just popping round'

Moved from UK with the military at 18yrs old; my first posting was Germany for 2 years.

I have lived away now for over 24 years and the nearest to 'home' i have been is now and that is approx 150miles.

However, on the rare occassion i have visited home, it is a dump. Last time i was there my old home was boarded up pending demolition! My dad still ives in the area and he would rather visit us than us come to him - i can understand why!

I don't do Facebook, but use the Mrs' evey now and again when i am feeling nostalgic and can see a couple of my close friends i used to have, one is a self made millionaire (yey!) and another has up and moved to Australia (yey!).

Another close friend who was destined to do well is addicted to weed, piled on the weight and her bf has recently died and now the stories are coming out he used to beat her - regurlarly. And my ex is long time single and fast becoming an old lady with cats - muahahaha (not really, i do feel bad for her the way her life seems to have turned out :()

200 miles when I was 21.

It was ok then, but now my parents are older (and grand parents) I wish I lived a lot closer.

I moved 220 miles... I do regret it in some ways, happy in others.

Snap! I moved about 40 miles away to go to uni but moved back home when I'd finished. I couldn't stick it after having freedom and had a mate up in Liverpool, ended up moving up here about 14 years ago and staying here.
