How far do you commute to work?

About 3 miles, takes about 10 mins to get there and park up.

I like to come home at lunch, and I sometimes need my car at work so I drive in. Even if I didn't need it I'd still drive in as the roads are lethal for cyclists.

About a mile the wrong way first to drop the other half off at work, then approx 20 miles to a park and ride :) Then straight home 20 miles again, make her walk home (plus I wouldn't get there till late) :p

Takes around 25 mins to get to the park and ride then it's another 10 mins there with a 5 min walk at the end. it longer going home as traffic is usually worse.

That's Torquay to Exeter.

12 miles each way, it used to be about a mile each way.

So it's gone from a 1 minute drive to a 25 minute drive :\

I'm now working local 54 Mile round trip to Liverpool, makes a change from the 1,600 ish Mile Round trip to my last Job in Barcelona.

2.5 kilometers (1.5ish miles). Only know that cos I occasionally run to work and back as a 5k training run. I did live 5 miles away, but moved to be closer, as I hate commuting. If I'd actually had my way, it would have been a few hundred meters, but the otherhalf had her say....

Atm I literally walk 40seconds, from Sept I start uni again which is about 10miles each way.

@36 miles round trip, there and back.

Takes about 35-40 mins in the car, much, much less if I use the bike and filter.

I'm about to start cycling it in the next few weeks too, just to get a different perspective on it all.

Daily 120Miles round trip, down the A429 (single carrige) in my £325 Vovlo which is sitting on wonderful 60mm lowering and stupidly stiff dampers.

Commuting soon gets boring....

2.5 miles which i've been cycling for the past few weeks. It's fantastic.

I can't imagine many jobs which would justify a long rush hour commute for me. I like driving but traffic jams/congestion are unbearably frustrating.

That's where I used to work and where they want me to come back too.. now I recognise that ST220....

Who did you work for?

I had the yellow leon cupra - only one at SSE Bartons Road...

I see from a pervious post you work for SGN dispatch - must be on shift then? You lot regularly got me out on call, but the software is sh1te

Ye SGN manager up in dispatch. Ye software just slightly bad. Got a mate that works in our support too. Cant remember a yellow cupra though.
