How fast do you go on the motorway?

80-85 most of the time. Not sure what that is actual, but I doubt it's high enough for me to get booked.
Assuming dry conditions and a clear road then during the day 140kph (88mph, 100 rpm below VVC changeover so 34mpg rather than 28mpg). Early morning runs to the airport 100-120mph though obviously this is all on my own private roads and on public roads I never exceed the speed limit.

I used to reguarly go very very fast.
Since driving so many miles on business and having had a few run ins with the law i now always keep it below 90 indicated. Generally try and keep it below 80 on sections i dont know (rare) or if there is a bridge which i cant see is clear of vans.

so true. personally I think they should abolish speed limits on them, pop on them chevrons and just use those to control the speed, unless driving quality improved drastically on uk roads, you'd never have any issues, traffic would naturally slow when it got too busy, and speed up when it cleared up
If I'm in the smoke machine, flat out is 95 if you are lucky but usually sit quite happily at 75-80 in the first two lanes, plenty of people still overtake me.
This morning was 60 cos I was unsure if it was icey, had to scrape the car first thing and the motorway was wet and a bit misty.
If I'm in the scoob however I can quite happily cruise well into triple figures and not bat an eye lid. Eyes like a hawk for plod and traffic though.
I'd hazard a guess that I'm twice as alert and ready for action in the impreza at those speeds than I am at 75 plodding along in the 106, even though on the Impreza, the steering is more responsive, the handling is better, the grip is better, the brakes are better and the overall vision of the road is better.
The 106 suffers from a horrendous blind spot in the mirrors.
I drive that like a bike, with the over shoulder glance before every move.
