How fast do you go on the motorway?

As long as the conditions allow, generally I'll cruise around 95ish with short bursts well above that speed.

If it's a particularly tight month financially speaking, I'll keep it at around 75mph until I get bored :)

Back when I had a car capable then it was 80/90 mostly with the odd jaunt above that. in the corsa 80 is oik, but any faster and I fear for its life (and my own)

On the bikeits about the same, although I avoid motorways like the plague!

I'll keep up with traffic, but I like to do 75 if I'm just cruising, anywhere up to 85 if I'm in a rush.

These are indicated speeds, according to the trip comp these are about 70 and 80 actual.

It's amazing how beautiful 400bhp is on the motorway, totally effortless up to about 160mph.

Not if you have AWD... :(

Mine pulls well up to about 130, then slows a bit. Not taken it over 135 yet though.

In answer to the original question: about 85-90. I figure it means a ticket not court if I'm radared.

I do 75mph. :p
I get overtaken by Micras and the like.

My wheels need balancing so at 80 they vibrate loads.

Depends on the conditions, but if traffic is light and visibility is good (and I'm actually on my own private race track) then 98ish.

Otherwise I stick to 70-75.

70-75 usually, I do go over up to about 90 but 70-75 is more normal.

Don't think I can get any more than 90 out of my car anyway :p

Usually I cruise at 98mph in the A8 if the road is completely clear. If the traffic is heavy or weather bad, I drive at whatever speed is safe for the conditions, this may be 40mph or 80mph.

Yes I know, I'm a child killer.

I don't go past 90 indicated any more. If I am feeling particularly tight I will drive at 60 indicated to extract the maximum mpg - I have to pay for my own fuel probably unlike half the people here :)

I rarely go above 80. Too many scameras about and I really couldn't give a toss about arriving later at my destination to go any faster :)

172.3 mph. With a fag in one hand, texting with the other. I don't even bother to try to avoid the grannies and children now, I just bounce them off my bonnet

I can confirm this after being a passenger in the Rex :D

You don't think that really was a drift scar do you? It was particularly large granny that did that to the bumper

Well seeing as the main part of my daily commute is the '25 from J5 to either J12 (to the M4) or J15 then the M4 to Reading, it can be anything between 20-85mph.

Sodding roadworks and people stopping to look at accidents.

This guy is a real man :D

I usually stick to 75-80 in good conditions. Otherwise 65-70.

Aye, that it was. :D

In all seriousness, conditions allowing it's usually around 90-100 in the Rex, with the occasional burst of 'a bit' more on quiet stretches.

In the Estima it's about 80. It takes a while to get there, but once at 80-90 it'll sit there all day quite comfortably due to the overdrive on the autobox.

So if there is no car in front do you sit there at the side of the road and wait for one to come along?
No, you have to catch up with the car in front first, then you can go as fast as it.

In the Prelude, I usually cruise at about 85-90 indicated, which is about 80-85 on GPS. Last night, however, I drove at about 35mph up the M11 and A120, as I couldn't see much more than 3-4 cat's eyes worth in front of me.

I really need to get those special glasses that allow people to drive at 70mph in fog that people without them can only see 50m in front of them!
