Thought Id give it another go with 4gb ram and cs4.

8 seconds on my machine with a ton of stuff running all day on it, will redo on a fresh start and after restarting and shutting TSR stuff down and post up if there's any difference.

Just a tad shy of 7.8 seconds on CS4 64bit. A tiny bit faster than the guy with 8 cores and 10GB of RAM on a MAC

57 seconds 1.83 dual core Hp 6710b 4 gb ram and a WD scorpio 7200 rpm. running on batteries though.

I wasn't, was using CS3. Doubt CS4 would make much of a difference given Adobe messing it up on the Mac side of things.

That and the fact it probably doesn't use over 4 cores, if even that.

using cs4 now and on mains did it in 34 seconds. First run was on old cs2.

Just tried this on my Mac Pro, just under 7 seconds
Was 32seconds on my old MBP 2.33/3gb

Nice improvement!

Its mainly down to processing speed during this test. I shaved 4 seconds just from overclocking my processor 800mhz
