How fast is your Photoshop ?

with CS3 my time was 1:02 (IE, firefox, Outlook 07, RDC, uTorrent, AS400 emulator all open at the same time)

dell lattitude D820
Core2 2.16GHz
3Gb DDR2
HITACHI Travelstar 7K100 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 1.5Gb/s
Vista 64

note to self, try this on the desktop tomorrow night..

How'd you measure the time that accurately Cuchulain?

6.0 seconds on CS5
i7 920 @ 3.9Ghz
12GB RAM
Vertex 2

It's amazing comparing these times to when the thread started :D

It's amazing comparing these times to when the thread started :D

A flash stopwatch on a machine sitting next to the one with Photoshop on, so it's not really that accurate but it's certainly around the right mark.

EDIT: it only used all cores 100% for like 1 to 2 seconds. the rest of the time all cores were all over the place but all less than 50% usage

em OK looking at everyones time i must be doing it wrong.

I got 15.45sec in PSE 7

i3 530
4GB RAM
Win 7

When do i start the stopwatch?

**Edit** LOL i was on the first page, thats why everyone was getting in the 1-2min range, lol
