How I kept calm I'm not sure...

Nope not at all, in fact they're very good as non-xenons go but there is absolutely zero reason at all to not have more light if I can so why wouldn't I?

Get your fog lights on too, and you'll have even more light.

To be honest, I'd rather he carry on. It's entertaining while I wait for my tea.
Do you mean waiting for your cup of tea or DINNER?

Why is rossk26 still here

I'm going to turn all the lights off in the house now and proceed to cook dinner. I don't need the lights on because I know my house well. Or maybe I'll use a torch as I don't need the entire kitchen lit up because I know my kitchen well.

:o

Thinking about buying this, opinions?

Not that's of any use.

Explain to us all why less light is better?

Didn't say that, just feel my Xenon headlights and the streetlights are more than adequate for me to see any potential hazard that may arise. I have confidence in the ability of my vision. If I felt I NEEDED to put high beams on when driving at night with plenty streetlights lighting up the road on my behalf, I'd probably get my eyes checked to see they were still fully functioning.

Granted I may have fewer years of driving than many here (6 years). But in all my life of driving I have NEVER seen a car with high beams on when there are streetlights on the road. Maybe us northerns are killing off eachother secretively by driving round in our deathtraps.

Pointless as you'd probably leave them all off

Your right, I might leave one on incase the moon is hidden behind the clouds.

But least I got all those horns to pre-warn any oncoming pedestrians. Plus the bull bars will keep me safe from any parked vehicles :)

Why are you adding streetlights to your argument, I didn't see any in the video, well not many anyway.

So if you were driving down an unlight country lane with blind corners and dips but you've driven down it every day, would you use your main beams?

Who here said they NEEDED to have full beams on lit streets to be able to see? Nobody at all, just the rest of the forum tend to use the tools they have available because there is no good reason not to.

Fog lights are at your disposal Kenai, why are you not using them to add extra light???? Your risking your life, and the life of other road users

I find my sidelights are sufficient for such an occasion

Do you also go everywhere in second gear, never exceeding 10MPH, as that's sufficient.

Edit - Actually, why do you drive at all!? You could just walk everywhere! It may take 10 times as long, but it's sufficient.

That's all I needed to know, thanks. I can discredit everything you have said.

Hopefully you'll learn the hard way that using sufficient lighting isn't just about what you can see, but making yourself visible to other road users.

Because using your foglights does not provide additional lighting in any area where its genuinelly useful and is illegal.

Also, DRZ hasn't got Xenons. This all started as you claimed he didnt know the road very well as he chose to use full beams, remember?

You don't drive around waving your hands in the air whenever you see oncoming traffic? I tend to send up a warning flare, and have my car littered with fairy lights that flash like mad.

Just incase
