Does your golf have candles for headlights?

Nope not at all, in fact they're very good as non-xenons go but there is absolutely zero reason at all to not have more light if I can so why wouldn't I?

Do you mean waiting for your cup of tea or DINNER?To be honest, I'd rather he carry on. It's entertaining while I wait for my tea.
Get your fog lights on too, and you'll have even more light.

Thinking about buying this, opinions?
Not that's of any use.
Explain to us all why less light is better?
Pointless as you'd probably leave them all off
Didn't say that, just feel my Xenon headlights and the streetlights are more than adequate for me to see any potential hazard that may arise. I have confidence in the ability of my vision. If I felt I NEEDED to put high beams on when driving at night with plenty streetlights lighting up the road on my behalf, I'd probably get my eyes checked to see they were still fully functioning.
Granted I may have fewer years of driving than many here (6 years). But in all my life of driving I have NEVER seen a car with high beams on when there are streetlights on the road. Maybe us northerns are killing off eachother secretively by driving round in our deathtraps.

So if you were driving down an unlight country lane with blind corners and dips but you've driven down it every day, would you use your main beams?
I find my sidelights are sufficient for such an occasion
Who here said they NEEDED to have full beams on lit streets to be able to see? Nobody at all, just the rest of the forum tend to use the tools they have available because there is no good reason not to.

Fog lights are at your disposal Kenai, why are you not using them to add extra light???? Your risking your life, and the life of other road users

Hopefully you'll learn the hard way that using sufficient lighting isn't just about what you can see, but making yourself visible to other road users.
