How is everyone getting on in WoW TBC?

Grr - don't talk to me about flying mounts - i feel royally screwed by blizzard over these as i have 3 lvl 70 characters.

Lvl 70 mage who i'd previously PVP'ed with to rank 11 before the honour changes specifically to get the rank 11 lvl 75 skill riding mounts as i knew i had no hope in hell of saving the then 800/900 cost of the epic mounts - of course come the BC and flying mounts i have to buy not only the flying skill level and the flying mount as well as the 540g lvl 150 riding skill - about 1400g in total AFTER having spent 6 weeks or more doing nothing but PVP.

Lvl 70 lock who had the lvl 150 riding skill due to dreadstead so not to bad here just the 800/900g for the normal flying mount.

Finally lvl 70 druid who only had the normal lvl 40 mount again due to costs so come lvl 68 i have to buy the lvl 150 skill in order to get flying form so another 540G.

All in all i've spent around 3k on flying mounts so far and can't see me getting anywhere near an epic flying mount unless they are giving them away :p

As for the expansion in general well having got 3 characters to 70 i've basically abandoned them - sick of doing instances and raids non-stop - and have re-rolled on alliance side and started leveling 3 characters on there to see what the world looks like from that side but i can see me getting bored again once i hit 60 or 70 with those as i really just can't stand the instance grind for rep/epics .

Guess when that point comes it will be time to re-assess whether theres enough of a reason to keep subscribing , i have a small group of close friends i don't mind doing the odd run with but like i've said i just refuse to run the same stuff over and over again for a couple of items or rep points .

Sorry for the whingy nature of this post :D

Sold mine ebay no problem. If you have a decent ebay account, advertise it well, they are usually ok with it. After all its not illegal and hardly counterfeit or stolen goods.

I still have some fond memories of the game, but in the end, I was sick of having to play 24/7, without seeing daylight, family, and going to work.

Strange how people play the game 24/7 and then end up hating and blaming it for THEIR inability to control themselves. I managed to hit 60 this week and i play for 1-2 hours everyday. Only play if you have nothing else to do. Don't put off seeing friends, family or going to work (worst of all). a Little self control wont hurt :)

In a new guild on one of the TBC launch servers (US)

We've cleared Kara and were meant to be doing Gruul last week but we're struggling to field enough players on this server so we've just moved to a different server over the weekend with a much healthier population.

Did Nightbane and Prince Malchazeen last night, as usual the wrong dagger dropped from the Prince and the wrong chest dropped from Nightbane! Weirdly, we'd killed Netherspite the day before and he had repopped!? We had a server crash yesterday (Kor'gall), so maybe that was responsible, but it was only Netherspite who'd repopped. Very weird. Anyway, either our raid leader's boss mod timer was buggered or netherspite's banish phase was bugged, but we kept getting ******* by his breath, was unlucky, we had him to 12% then we all got bombed by his breath and wiped :( Ah well, maybe ill get lucky and get Spiteblade some other time :( (Yeah, right.)

If you get bored on a PVE server that doesnt surprise me in the slightest

a server which has PVE and PVP is the best choice!

PVP is atm easily the best thing in the game as PVE is grind, grind and grind.

Am pleased to announce that I got to 70 without doing all the quests, quest zones etc.

I just hope they nerf Warlocks soon as its becoming World of Warlocks atm.

Love the game and the graphics look nice turned up to full on my pc :D

The only downside is grinding and mindless PUGs for PVE.

What servers are you all on?

Doing ok myself. My druid is now 70 and I made enough money from skinning and herbalism during leveling that I could buy my epic mount :) Currently, I am trying to get all of the arena/pvp gear and with some instances on the side. Also leveling my rogue.

Edit: I'm on Kor'Gall. PvP goodness! I like the fact that I could be killed during my leveling, it makes it more fun!

Ooh, another Kor'gall-ite, whats your name ingame? I'm Jarakin. You with any guild? Just started up a 3v3 arena team myself with a few guildies, not had any games yet, but should be good fun! Did you start from fresh on Kor'gall, or did you migrate in? I used to be on Stormscale back in the day, but the guild moved over to Kor'gall to escape the scourge of the swedes!

My Druid's name is Marlock and my Rogue's is Sneaks. I'm on the Alliance side and I am in a guild, Aurora Borealis. Ages ago I used to be on Al'Akir but due to all of the spanish taking over there was a free transfer to Kor'Gall offered so I jumped at the chance and switched.

Ah cool, my guild (Crimson Blades) back in the day had an alliance with AB, we used to do regular MC runs together, but both our guilds grew to the size where we could do it on our own, so eventually the alliance ended. I remember running round as the rogue group with Phil, Xenos, Bahamut and Anguish :D Good times.

Haha, tis isn't it? :P Sneaks was the name of my stealth character in DAoC so I just used it in WoW :)

Excal or Pryd in DAoC? :p I was Jarakin, rr10 eldritch in Eclipse on prydwen :) (Quit halfway through New Frontiers, sometime before Darkness Falls). My WoW guild was formed by a mixture of Hibs, Albs and Mids from Prydwen :D

Excal myself. I had a funkey little Nightshade. I quit a little while after Trials of Atlantis because of all of the retarded abilities that people had got from there.

Got a lvl 70 undead warlock on Bronzebeard, I am in a pretty small guild but we are a very close community, we all get along and all help each other out, at the moment i am getting a little bored but this is only because i have been attuned to karazhan for a month and still havnt been there :(

I'm amazed how anyone can get to level 70 without having enough (and more) for a flying mount. People don't think ahead and spend it on recipes and crap, then complain when they don't have a mount.

I buy gear in the AH, twink alts, and generally waste my gold. So I always have to actively save for mounts. My warrior has his mount, and is attuned. I just thought it was a sly trick, that's all. It really hacked me off.

Had a little lurikeen nightshade myself called Jarakeen, got it to rr5 or so :D I played a little on excal, had a guild called Grrr Arrrgh on mid, we were offered powerlevelling by some friends in Nolby Pride and thought it'd be a laugh to mess around on there for a while. Couldn't tear ourselves away from the prydwen RvR scene for too long though, had a reputation to uphold and all that! ;)
