How is everyone getting on in WoW TBC?

Sold my char for £400 this morning, Shadow Priest with 1024shadow dmg unbuffed, well chuffed! Cleared my overdraft and i get paid tomorrow :D

Congrats, nice price.

Am I allowed to ask where you sold it? I believe that eBay have banned account selling.

I advertised it on a couple of forums and also listed it on ebay, was up for 3 days and not a peep from ebay. Was bought out this morning and payment was confirmed, either I just got lucky and slipped under the radar or they have changed their policy.

Can't buy pots from NPCs. Either find them yourself or buy from the AH

Word of warning: Uninstall it now. Such a waste of time. I'm not saying games are a constructive manner to spend your time but WoW takes the biscuit.

It's just something to do in my spare time when usually I'd be on CS etc. :)

Dinged 70 on my BE Rogue today. Raped the AH of Aldor rep items, almost Exalted already, lal :D

Won't be able to buy my flying mount though, but eh I'm not too bothered.

You will need a flying mount to get to the Mechanar, Arcatraz and Botanica instances (Warlocks can't summon you there either). Additionally patch 2.1 releases some new content that you need a flying mount to reach. Best get saving :p

Yep, and you can't get attuned to Karazhan without going to Arcatraz which I personally think is a disgrace.

Sold mine ebay no problem. If you have a decent ebay account, advertise it well, they are usually ok with it. After all its not illegal and hardly counterfeit or stolen goods.

I still have some fond memories of the game, but in the end, I was sick of having to play 24/7, without seeing daylight, family, and going to work.

i got myself a 70 rogue with 5/5 assination 17/3/41 and me and a few mates just started an arena team so gief epix plx :D

pvp f.t.w.!!!

I'm amazed how anyone can get to level 70 without having enough (and more) for a flying mount. People don't think ahead and spend it on recipes and crap, then complain when they don't have a mount.

Rerolled onto one of the new servers at launch and make our first kill of The Curator last night. Loving the new instances, much more involving than the standard tank and spank of the old instances that seemed the norm.

Jokester
Seconded!

I play WoW regularly, took a 6 month or so break before TBC, levelled a BE Pally to 20ish, got bored then levelled my main 60-70, which I honestly enjoyed a hell of a lot more than i thought I would! Bought my flying mount and now saving for the epic mount, up to roughly 2k now! 3.2k to go! :(

Anyway, pre-tbc my rogue was fully kitted out with BWL+MC gear, now i'm starting to raid karazhan and gruul and thinking about forming a few arena groups for extra fun! I'm a pretty damn casual player in a really good guild that tries to cater for folk that aren't 24/7 powergamers. I did my fair share of nolifing in dark age of camelot getting to realm rank 10 all those years ago. :P Casual gaming is the way to go, will never look back! :D

Anyway, Jokester - I see you're in aberdeenshire too, good to see another aberdonian WoW addict! I know a good few people from here that play wow, my fiancée included. :)

I love when people say that this game is a big fat 'grind feast' wtf btw! You do realise there all SO many quests u dont have to grind one bit, and if you think grinding if the best way to get xp, your very mistaken..

dont get that, why do u 'have' to play wow over seeing your family? Sounded like a good idea tho.. Because thats just sad.

We're not talking about xp grinding. Grinding out factions and collecting DKP by doing a mind numbing number of instance runs running the same instance again and again and again and again......or collecting 10000000 spectral essences to get exalted (from what I remember of Argent Dawn). The rep grind in wow is hellish boring.

Totally agree, grinding rep is very very boring. The people i was thinkin off were talking about lvling alts and saying that they got bored because it 'turned into a big fat grind' go to a new zone tbh.. or get a lvling guide :D

Pffft, I'm not bothered. I'm a bit of a PvP whore really, will be playing battlegrounds/arena mostly.

The thing I don't get is people complaining about the rep grind in TBC for Revered for heroic access. Rep is so much easier gained in TBC than it used to be! I mean, if you levelled up on quests instead of grinding, you'll be at least halfway through honored with the factions, all it takes then is a few instance runs and you're sorted! Anyway, if you want to do heroic runs, then as a bare minimum you need half decent level 70 instance gear!

However, for those complaining about the "chasing the dragon" syndrome, i can't agree more, you have to stop and look at what you enjoy in the game, then prepare for it then go do it. If one lousy piece of instance gear is stopping you from starting pvp because you don't have your "perfect set", get your head checked! (And yes, i've been guilty of this too!;)

heh yeah know what you mean mate, Its just annoying when your going for like 4/5 items and they never drop! Bloody blizz and there itemization :/

quick edit: I was looking at the items i wanted to get today and found that there are a lot of quest rewards that are really good (if not better than some 70 instance items) so look on the sites for rewards and not just looking for your items in instances..

Tell me about it, I did BM runs up to Exalted with CoT and Assassination Gloves never dropped, I did a Kara run with guild and got Netherblade Gloves that run, next day I helped a guildie with kara attunement through BM, and guess what frickin dropped! lol, my luck with drops is crap. :D Ah well!

And yeah, there's a a lot of really good quest gear, some of which requires flying mount though! Not that that's an issue when you're 70 or a druid! :P
