I watched a bit of telly, ate some good food, browsed the net for a wee while, watched some fireworks across the river, drank a few beers (Fursty Ferret and Badger Golden Glory), watched a film (Princess Mononoke) then went to bed.

Kids? Vandalism? Noise?

Nothing... ;)

So did anyone else have a really quiet and uneventful night last night?

*n

Yup, i live in a flat, up the top, no kids can be bothered to run up the stairs, and eggs cant reach my window.

TAKE THAT HALLOWEEN

Had absolutely sweet FA happen here all night. We live on a private estate and it seemed that after speaking with a few parents this morning, all the kids were just at other peoples Halloween parties.

In fact it was that quiet, i found myself doing some work on my pc at 11pm last night.

had about 8 loads of brats knock at the door but just ignored the lot of them cos I'm a miserable old git :p

I went home in a very good mood so as ok with it all to be honest.

They just had to knock very loudly as my new drum kit arrived :D

Same for us - seems as though everyone in our area self-regulated, with children & parents only visiting houses belonging to people they know or that are obviously participating in the fun & frolics (pumpkins in window etc).

We got a takeaway from the Indian, drank a bottle of wine and didn't get any callers. Although to be fair our living room is at the back of the house and with the door closed there would have been no lights showing at all, so perhaps the empty-house-look put people off.

Didn't get home until 7pm, most had gone, but we still had a few, which we ignored.
Just wish the little sods would shut the gate when they go...

two knocks (from the same group), followed by me opening the door and telling them to **** off and go home and then their was peace, no eggs, no dodgey items through the letter box.

and i live on a coucil estate, which is teeming with scum :o so i was quite pleased (had nithing last year, you wouldn't have known it was hallowe'een)

No-one knocked on my door although there were plenty of kids and parents about.

My house was obviously so scary that nobody dared approach

I'm going for the "scary-man-at-the-bottom-of-the-cul-de-sac-in-the-dark-house" position :)

Lol :p

We all had a lovely evening here. I took the kids out trick or treating all dressed up in their devil and skeleton costumes and I was a vampire :p Cliff stayed in with the baby and wore a scream mask with fake blood that you can pump out. We saw lots of children walking about dressed up and everyone we knocked on was lovely. It was a mild evening and very enjoyable. When we got back there were still some more children knocking and it was nice to see their costumes. All of them were very polite and made an effort dressing up.

We were intentionally not in last night. Came back to find the house wasn't egged which was nice :).

I got the train home from work and there was one guy dressed in a full Imperial stormtrooper outfit! These two chav girls were going "Ehhhh look at him, he's dressed as a Power ranger" the other went "nar man, it's Darth Vader".......I didn't know if I should laugh or cry.

Nobody knocked at my door, at my girlfriends there were loads of kids and parents who had made the effort. My girlfriend gave them some sweets, the kids said thank you and were no bother at all.

Came home from watching Saw 4 to find my Dad miserable. Apparently he gave some kids sweets....

He's getting soft in his old age. :D
