How long do you keep Boxes and Packaging?

pc parts I keep them until the part is gone too. I keep boxes for items over £100 for a year and the rest for 14 days roughly, just to make returns a little easier

Depends on the item, I tend to keep GPU and PSU boxes.

PSU boxes so I can remember where I put the modular cables I'm not using. GPU box as it's the component which is most easily resold. GPU's tend to be compatible with just about any build, plus are fairly high value.

Also tend to keep those resealable plastic boxes the CPU are wrapped in (inside the main box).

Also if there is any of that egg-box like wrapping I keep that, my Gerbils love destroying it.

My loft is full of boxes, I really need to clear it out before I'm too old to get up the ladder!

Keep most boxes unless it's for something like a hair clipper. The annoying thing is not remembering which polystyrene belongs to which box. Got the TV boxes through the hatch by folding them as the bottom of the box was like a separate internal sleeve that was much smaller in height.

For any item that is worth something, I keep the boxes bascially forever unless I run out of space.
I still have my GPU boxes from 7+ years ago.

Basically keep them until the cupboard / attic / garage is full and I have to throw some of them away to make space :p. Try to prioritise boxes for expensive stuff where it's likely to help resale value the most.

Any particularly sturdy boxes might become permanent features though - eg most of my bike parts and cleaning bits live in the box my microwave came in, which is made of nice thick cardboard.
