How Many 8800GTX Rigs Left

Most people i know are staying with the 8800gtx still a great card waiting for a real reason to upgrade my gfx so im waiting for what comes out just after the i7 CPUs
Nice and cheap to get another 8800 now days 2nd hand is easy also

nVidia 8800GTX is a power inefficient BEAST!

If you enjoy paying large electricty bills then by all means keep burning your 8800GTX, if you want better gaming performance and much cheaper running costs then pick up a Radeon HD4850 and sell your circa 2006 GPU's. . . :D

If you don't have a GTX then what are you doing in here, get-out of this thread - GTX's only :p:D

Mines back in it's box, supplanted by a shiny new gtx280. Got it for £240. Depending on what you play, it's worth it, but I'll admit the 8800's are more than enough for most games.

Thinking about holding onto the old card as a reserve :) That 8800gtx was the best money I ever spent on the PC!

Sold mine months ago, dont game now as I dont have a very good card in there (Nvidia 7800GT). Res is @ 1680x1050 so no no.

I am maybes intrested in 2 cards, cos I dont want to spend a fortune, how bout...

How does the 8800GT compare to my old GTX? think my old GTX had 700mb?

2 x bfg 8800gtx oc2 in SLi here.

No need to upgrade just yet, although I just wish they'd allow me to use two monitors with sli enabled. I hate having to mess around when I enable it for a game, and then disable it after.

I have no plans to upgrade from my 8800GTX Plays everything fine including latest titles.

Upgrades from an 8800GTX would only benefit users of resolutions > 1900 x1200

The 8800GTX is simply the best buy ever.

indeed, having said that im playing at 1900x1200 and that works fine for me. It might run better with a new card but meh.
For a card that ive had for about 1yr and a half and still runs games perfectly fine now = Best purchase EVER !!

I'm still gobsmacked how long it has lasted.

wow, am surprised at how many other owners their are who are also happy, thought most had jumped ship already

I've noticed the last couple of drivers have really made an improvement to smoothness and IQ, for games I always have fan at 100% and despite decent o/c it's been very stable, had some probs a couple of weeks ago when playing COD4 MP but it turned out to be punkbuster issues as well as firewall and virus config / rules etc

Recently played all three FEAR titles maxed out and it owned them :D
