How many bones have you broken and how?

Broken nose twice. First time got smacked in the face with a plank of wood, second time got hit with a hockey ball. Thankfully the hockey ball straightened it out somewhat!

Fractured my elbow as a kid by slipping on a roller-skate and landing on the kitchen floor. Was straight out of a cartoon sketch!

Compound fracture of my left tibia and fibula along with a broken ankle for good measure. Skiing accident. Had to have my leg pinned back together. Looked down and my lower leg was at 90 degrees to my thigh and my ankle was then perpendicular to my shin! Most pain I have ever ever been in in my life...not sure what hurt more, the bones breaking or hearing them go!

none- no matter how hard i tried back when i was between 7&12 and saw how long some of the other kids got off school, i'd jumped out of trees as tall as a house (not including roof :p) and got nothing other than a sprain, had my sister and here friends tie, and hold onto a rope attached to a skateboard as i went down a hill...merely chipped my tooth (does that count? :D).
+all sorts of other craziness...no broken bones :( but now i dont want any so thats ok  ;)

edit: when i was two a dog bit me in the head, it probably explains some of my ecentricities and inane madness

I've not broken any of my bones but I've broken my brothers collarbone, my best mates wrist and leg and a random girls arm. All accidents and all done while I was at primary school.

Broken nose in 5 places while attempting to do a double flip on a bouncy castle at the age of 11. Not sure if I managed or not as my own knee kinda put me off!

Wedge fracture to my radius and an oblique fracture to my ulna. A friend of mine was pogoing about on the dancefloor and took me out in the process.

That said, he kept me in free beer for a very long time :)

broken right leg
broken left arm
fractured collar bone
fractured patella x2
dislocated both shoulders
broken little toe
broken foot

mainly done playing rugby, the worst one is my patella is an injury i will carry for life.

only one and its possibly the most annoying one ever my tail bone :(

Having fallen off a skateboard onto a pipe ass first onto the tailbone and struggling to walk for the next few days.. how are you still here?! :o

Me: Green stick right wrist. Restraining my friend before the End of Year 6 panto as he was an ugly sister.. didn't want make-up on

Anyway, had both his arms behind his back, with my right arm going through both to lock them behind the back at their elbows.. then he fell over backwards, the two elbows went forwards and the wrist was broken over his back..

watching too much wrestling ;)

Fractured my arm when I was about 10. I was on a zipwire at my school and basically kept on going at the other end ... turns out the groundskeeper man had tightened it earlier that day as 'it wasn't going very fast'.

Currently recovering from this, the first 2 weeks were just pure agony couldn't move at all and have been sleeping up since I did it(1st April). Very inconvenient especially with exams, just can't wait to get back playing sport.

<snip>

I bet that's fun ;)

I haven't broken any bones, and don't plan to.
If I do then I'll make a thread asking what to do though.

Ewwwww, thats pretty gross!

Lol at skier with broken leg and ankle.

All of mine have been fractures.

Collar bone is a pain as you cant move arm and have to sleep on you back.
Keep em coming and lets see some more x-rays :D

when i was 6 (i think) i fell off the garage roof 5 meters onto solid concrete.

miraculously i didn't break my skull or neck, but i did break my jaw (in 6 places no less) i was in intensive care for about 6 weeks and was in recovery was 6 months. and i can't do maths very well anymore.

Had a displaced fracture of the wrist here which was pretty nasty.

Was playing footy on a beach while camping on the Gower in South Wales. I was just in the process of taking a shot at goal when one of my mates charged and sent me flying in the opposite direction. I landed awkwardly but didn't feel to bad to start with and didn't think I'd done much damage. Was wearing a big thick coat at the time cos it was really cold, so I pulled up my sleeve to check everything was ok to find a lump on top of my hand because my wrist had moved!

It took 20 mins to get to A&E in Swansea only to find that that hospital couldn't do X-Rays so we had to drive another 10 mins to the other one. By that point my hand had gone blue. They rushed me in cos they couldn't find a pulse in my wrist..the bone was cutting off the blood supply to my hand :)

8 weeks later the cast came off. I haven't played footy since! I did score that goal though!! :) I'll see if I can dig out the X-Rays..have got them here somewhere.

Wondering whether anyone has fractured their arm like mine and how long it took to heal? I was told initially 4-6 months but have now been told by a different doctor (at the same hospital) 7-8 months to a year. This would mean I can't play football for the whole of my last year at Uni, something I really hope doesn't happen. 4-6 months would mean I could be back October. Im hoping to get someone else next time I go and see what they say.

Nose - Playing badmington back in school i ran head first into the 5 a side goal posts! I got the shot though, won the point \o/ was well worth it!

Collar bone - Me and a friend were bored in the park so decided to see how far he could throw me... as you do. After lots of throws it was really starting to hurt a lot, as i kept landing in the same position! >.< A few weeks of pain later when i eventually went hospital the doctor said it was a bad break o:
