These days if I'm just out with friends or parents even maybe 3 or 4 beers regardless of size. That all fine and never hangover.

If out out like with a couple work colleagues a few weekends about it about 10 pints and a few rounds of the infintie stone shots run and a few others otherwise. But I was rough the next day with all the mixing and in at 2am whilst back up for work around 6.30am.

This Friday was our works Xmas party and we started at 9.30am with prosecco and champagne bottles and jelly vodka prior to coach and then a dozen pints over the afternoon till out till 4am in Cheltenham with a KFC to finish off. Crashed on a sofa and up at 9am. Felt better that day tbh.

Probably five pints or so over the course of an afternoon/evening but would be accompanied by a brutal hangover these days, can’t handle my drink for **** anymore so I rarely do.

I don't really go out drinking. Don't enjoy that sort of thing.

Only thing I've done like that in 2 years was work Christmas party. Think I had 5 beers. That's a lot for me. Made sure drank loads of water before sleep.

But no. I just don't find going out for drinks fun.

on a night out, if it's a night with the boys i'd say 8-12 pints. I usually don't remember much apart from the camaera picking me up at 1am staggering home with a pizza in hand.

The next two days are an upward battle after that. Is it worth it? I think so. I do it 4-5 times a year.

Don't really go out "drinking" anymore but if there's a decent event or nice meal and we have a drink beforehand then maybe the most is a beer/mixer or two, half a bottle of wine, maybe a sharpener afterwards. With the recent Christmas parties with just constant nibbles it's about 3-4 beers or wine then I need to move onto something else like a G&T. Maybe a couple of those.

With all the talk of 10+ pints in a Slug and Lettuce I feel we need to up the class in this thread. So, my answer is a glass or two of something sparkling or a cocktail as an aperitif. A nice bottle (half of) of wine with the meal, maybe more if it's 3+ courses. Then perhaps a digestif like a whisky or brandy when you retire to an armchair. C'mon guys :p

I find my hangovers are directly related to the amount (or lack of) food I have. I can drink from afternoon to midnight with no issues if it's slow and steady and there's plentiful food. Some of the worst hangovers I've had is when you've decided to go to the pub with no plan for dinner, end up sinking 5 pints, no food = death.

2 or 3 pints then the rest of the night I'm on soft drinks.

If I'm not up studying then off to the gym early in the morning. I'm 39, I'm too old to be dealing with hangovers which lasts minimum 2 days!
