How Many Fingers do you Type With?

Some people dont seem to realise what their saying they can do with this words per minute crap lol.

Break down 150 wpm into words per seconds. You seriously saying you can type at that speed and maintain it? really? mistake free?

FYI I was measured at 94 when I went for my data entry clerk job many years ago. I'd say I'm still as fast now, but not as accurate :p

I touch type, have done since I was about 9-10 so nearly 20 years. Although I would say I've slowed considerably recently, practice really is required to maintain any reasonable WPM:accuracy. My niece having just started infants apparently has been introduced to touch typing. So it seems to be something only people who are nearly dead find impressive :(

I'd say all 10, although I don't use the thumb on my left as much hand much, as I usually type space with my right thumb, and I use my pinky for Windows Key as I usually use it with other shortcuts.

Touch type on most keyboards and tablets but on a mobile its back to the thumbs as its the quickest way. Thumbs admittedly, when touch typing, only get used for the spacebar and pinkies for shift/ctrl keys

All 3 center fingers on both hands + thumb on left hand (for space) + little fingers for shift. It annoys me when i watch someone typing with one finger on each hand :p

So the only finger i don't really use for typing is the thumb on my right hand.

It only annoys me when they look to the screen to check they've typed the correct letter, then back at the keyboard, while only using 2 fingers.

That's how my manager does it, and i sit directly opposite him, so i have to watch it all day long >_< :p

Poor you! My stepdad does it, it annoys me, so any time I'm home and he needs help doing something, I usually do the typing, as watching him just infuriates me lol.

All fingers and thumbs, bra. Though, the little fingers are reserved for shift, I am trying to get them in on the letter action.

Ok, so I've discovered, that in fact I use most of my fingers, but don't use my left thumb (right thumb spacebars). I use right pinky for right shift, and left pinky occasionally when I need ctrl.

I've mastered one handed typing (as I'm usually playing a game & can't let go of the mouse when typing quickly for competitive pvp games).

I can type faster than 99% of people I know, but my accuracy isn't great (as gamers don't care about accuracy during the fight).
