Index and middle fingers on both hands + thumbs for space+ left pinky for Ctrl and shift +ring finger for capslock and tab.
i learnt touch typing when i was in my teens, but instantly went back to my own tryed and tested technique, it works for me, just didnt feel comfortable touch typing.
Each finger has a key:
Left pinky on A through to Left index on F, right index on J through to right pinky on :
Don't move left or right unless absolutely necessary, rather move up or down.
Touch typing in a nutshell.
Learned the basics in high school and then just went with my own flow afterwards, often find myself touch typing in work without realising.
I used like 4 fingers to type with not including my thumbs. Probably should learn but its probably going to be too hard now. So I'm not going to bother.
I can type 400 words per minute if you give me enough time
I use four fingers for the majority of my typing but occasionally I use more for words with the right pattern of letters. If I was to type out Reaper then i'd use all the fingers of my left hand sometimes
i use every finger and i almost never look at the keyboard cause i know where all the keys are. i suppose its touch typing except i dont know if i use the fingers they specify for certain keys
