I touch type, but not using the conventional manner of a certain finger on the key with the raised part on it. I just know where the keys are /shrug

I type with all 8 and also use both thumbs however I have to look at the keyboard when I'm typing

5 on my left hand and 2-3 on my right. I can touch type, but I don't use the correct fingers or technique.

It's from playing guitar. My left hand is very dexterous and half of my right hand is the same, but my right ring and pinky fingers are utterly useless.

I touch type, self taught really. There are so many resources online these days that you can teach yourself if you want. Practice is the ultimate requirement really though. There's no hidden secret, it's just practice.

Just realised I didn't actually answer the question!

After about 7 pm I use all 10. Before that I just use 5 as there is a coffee mug in my hand most of the time.

Two, just my index fingers. Apart from shift for which I use my little finger. Can still type faster than most people I know.

Index, middle and ring on both hands for letters, baby finger on both hands for shift, CTRL, Enter etc and left thumb for space.

Most, except the left pinkie seems to be a bit excluded unless I'm using tabs for something.

Edit: Also I got 80wpm on that test, no mistakes (but I did correct some as I was going). The start slowed me down quite a lot at the beginning though "IT was 2 p.m. on the afternoon of May 7, 1915."

Edit again: 87wpm on one with no numbers.
