How many games you have installed and what are they?

I have just done a reinstall due to SSD RMA

Currently got

COD5
NFS Shift
Far Cry 2
Call of Juarez 2
Operation Flashpoint
Assassins Creed

and still got 200GB left to play with
 
man thats a lot of games, guess you dont reformat very often? be a mission reisntalling that lot!

Yeah I am reformatting once every two years, now I am in the middle of the cycle and will not reformat for a long time, no need.

Maybe when some DX10 games that are DX10 ONLY come out and I wanna play them (currently there is none like that), maybe then I would considering switching.

Btw nice selection of games, I am still wondering whether to get Borderlands or not.

Those are all the games I ever bought...I like having them all installed and ready.All patched to latest versions and modded if necesarry (like Planescape Torment).One of the perks of PC gaming : ).Currently I am playing Torchlight like crazy and Dead Space as well.


Oh and btw, 60 are from steam, 70 from GOG, about twenty from GamersGate, D2D and Impulse, and the rest is retail, either czech eshops or UK ones.

I got 17 atm and soon I'll be adding MW2, Dirt 2, Mass Effect 2, bad company 2, assasin's creed 2 and crysis 2 to the mix!! That's a lot of of sequels haha :P I love how cheap PC games are! :D

I have two 1TB Samsungs F1 in the PC, one for games/programs/windows and the other one for data, and then one more 1TB F1 outside of the PC in my drawer that serves as a backup of the data drive...so that if it ever dies, I do not lose al my music collection (I would kill someone if that ever happened, so many years of collecting!), movies, photos..etc.

Yep, exactly.Why not use the advantage PC gives me? The convenience is the best.

Myself, despite having 50+ games on it, do not like it too much.Sometimes it gives me "busy" message, or it freezes when updating games (although usually it unfreezes when game is updated), it just seems clumsy and unnecesarry.

A lot of the links on it are short cuts, but mainly I'd rather go for a title on steam than elsewhere. I've never really had any major problems with it, within the last few years (granted it was a pita before then :p ).

It's another pet hate I have that is along the same lines as before. When I want to play a game I'd rather just play it than have to dig around for the disk.

It's been particularly handy with some of the older games that always seem to be in a deal as well. Rather than having to mess around with DosBox or something to get them running, it's all done for me. :p

Auto-updating is a nice feature that I like as well, I like not having to worry about manually having to bother to check I'm all patched up before I start playing. :)

Yeah autoupdating and nodvd requirement is a great advantage of steam, I will give you that : ).Although I use unofficial fixes on my protected original games, because I refuse to be punished for buying original games.Of course, somewhere that is not possible since reliable fix does not exist, but what are you gonna do...

As for old games - GOG rocks!;)

Totally retarded to install so many games at once IMO. I only install games I am playing. No point having games installed if you never play them.

You must have some sort of OCD to want everything installed at once. You're crazy. lol
