How many GPU's have died on you?

i have only ever made one die
a 8800 gtx that i tried to put a DD block on and over tightend it
replaced it will a 8800 ultra that had a block on already

None! What do you guys do with your cards?

X600
6800GS
2900XT
8800GTS 512 x2
480GTX SOC

All fine and all have had their fair share of abuse. :D

I did sell my friend a PC and bought him a 7600GT from a competitor years ago, it died within three months but it's never happened to me yet. :)

Expect a lot of these cards mentioned in the thread (probably the majority) have been overclocked. When pushed beyond the designed and tested limits it's bound to increase the failure rate over time.

Only card I've had go wrong was an Ati 4870x2 that was DOA, rather annoyingly.

What about any Nvidia cards?. :p :D

OK i do have a nvidia 9200 :p for when my gfx cards get bought out before i have replacements, problem is that it cant do 2560x1600.
Actually that nvidia 9200 is dead now that i remember and only used it for about a month, just have not binned it yet..

Those were the days when I knew nothing about fan profiles. I just bought the card, installed it, closed up the case and only looked inside when there was a problem.
