Totally agree with this I was wondering why my battery drain was substantially higher suddenly then realised it was Firefox. Again, it's a shame that I can't use this as my primary browser when I'm away from the charger as it's excellent.FIrefox is a massive battery drainer in my experience. I'd probably just use Chrome or Edge for things where Safari doesn't work, but it might be a simple Safari setting you can change.
I just use a combination of network wide ad blocking with Adguard Home and superagent in Safari.Well after the recent Firefox scandal I'm back on Safari. I'm thinking of getting Wipr 2 but before I buy it I wanted to see if any of you use and what you think of it? It is £4.99 on the app store.
After setting up a new laptop I decided to give Safari another go. One major issue I've found is that is seems to have an issue with audio when consuming YouTube content at higher speeds. Chrome deals with the audio fine with these settings.
