How many of you will be missing work due to the weather conditions?

No snow here yet, but I think it's already started snowing in the village where I work, 20 miles away. I've packed a scarf, flask and my golf shoes in the event I get stranded.

Well 2" here so far, but that won't stop me, mostly because I live at my workplace hah. It's the drive to my girlfriends house later this afternoon that should prove to be fun!

No snow here yet. In fact it feels warmer than yesterday. Trains are delayed several minutes though. I think they just use it as an excuse to adjust the timetable and avoid fines for being late for other reasons.

Not appearing into work isn't really an option for me, too many things I need to get doing even if it was snowing over here.

The school I work at decided to close this morning. They never grit my steep road and our driveway is a big incline. Anyway, can't get up my road or driveway.

Last night I checked all the school closures for hampshire and 10 school had already said they would be closed due to snow and it wasn't even snowing...

They have to come from somewhere, probably stuck at the other end of the line, or issues with the track.

Some TOC's are running a severe weather timetable in anticipation of problems. Therefore trains are less frequent in order to have more time to turn around at each end of the journey and more space in the schedule in case of slower running.

Although it only started snowing here half an hour ago, it's supposed to continue throughout the day. While I might be able to get in to work easily now, it could be very difficult getting home later.

The M27 is notorious for being a car park when it rains never mind snow. Luckily I can do all of my work from home so I'm staying put.

No real snow here yet and the gritters have been out! (which is a miracle for our local council)

Never missed a day at work when we had that real bad spell a few years ago. Was quite funny having to dig (literally) my way into work :D

All the roads clear and gritted this morning Redcar to Middlesbrough in the North East. No snow, its not particularly cold either unlike yesterday.

I must say the roads were a lot quieter than normal and I'm here in an empty office :S

Roads seemed quiter today I travel 30 odd miles over the Pennines and its caused no problems so far.

Hopefully it will be the same story going home.

Was virtually no snow across manchester yesterday/lastnight, quite underwhelming.

Kinda peeved as the media overhyped it telling most people to not even bother travelling.

Damn media.

It's coming down pretty heavy in Fareham, got a few inches already - went to the train station to see that half of them are either delayed or cancelled so decided to work from home instead.

I about 2 inches, and it's still coming down hard!! (man that all sounded rude!! :D )

Working from Home here!! :(

Well we are expecting 30cm over the course of the day, so I might get my jumper on and put long trousers on. As for staying off work, no, I have to work from home.
