How many people ended up with their first love?

My first love was a girl called Heather Cashmore when I was 15 and she was top shelf totty.
It wasn't long until she dumped me, a few more girlfriends later and I ended up at 16 with the girl who is now my wife and we've been together for 36 years.
I also first snogged her when we were 14.

Now there is another story to my first love in 1973.
Around 1995 I was playing a pub and this absolutely gorgeous woman was dancing to us and I couldn't take my eyes off her.
She approached me after the spot and asked if I was Pud and I knew she was from my past.
She told me who she was and how she had had 3 failed marriages to absolute tossers but she was very happy with her new life.
I gave her a peck on the cheek and carried on with the next spot.
At this point around 4 proper bib & braces Lezzers came in and started dancing with Heather and I suddenly understood her new life.
It was that moment when I thought 'Why aren't her mates Lipstick Lezzers and want to invite me for a 6 way?'

That. Never date a girl with insane commitment issues who's just come out of a relationship. Doesn't end well.

Didn't help that her last ever text (after the phone calls etc) was something along the lines of "Don't forget, you were my first love and I will never forget you". Sure she meant well but it felt like someone had punched me in the stomach.:(

Maybe if we end up in the same area (broke up after uni due to almost no chance of living in the same part of the country as each other) and met up again something might happen but that's very unlikely.:p
 
Nope, due to her being a cheating garden tool.

5 years on she has been married, divorced and engaged again. She is only 23 now.
 
I guess i'd count.

I'm 28 now, been with the same girl since i was 17.

We're married and have a 7 year old son together.
 
No.Was 23 years ago and she left me.Still see her occasionally though..she lives near me.We have a quick hug and chat when we do bump into each other.I sooo still would :D
