How many people game with headphones @ Home??

Theese are the settings i use on my xonar DX.

7.1 enabled in windows control panel.

Quick question setter, do you use those settings only for games? Or for music and movies too? Also, do you change anything in game in the audio options? Like changing the speaker config to 5.1?

Ace thanks :) Will give it a go for music and movies too. Usually watch movies with my gf so have the speakers on for those, so will see how it goes :) Got system sound as 5.1 now, so will see how it goes :)

I've got a logitech 200RMS THX 2.1 speaker system, but for gaming especially in multiplayer fps I have to use headphones...it makes it so much easier to listen to where the enemies/bullets are coming from!

For gaming headphones always, and loving my Sennheiser PC163Ds (depending on what I'm doing I swap between the Dolby Headphone USB module that came with them or plugging them into my X-Fi for CMSS-3D).

I have tried gaming with a 5.1 speaker system but doesn't have quite the same intimacy.

too may threats from my neighbour about noise levels, so now only use headphones! I decided that I want the best sound I could within my budget so have some Sennheiser HD650's, a Cyrus 8vs Amp and a HRT Streamer ii+ DAC, sound fantastic to my ears and would never go back to speakers, they are so much more involving and you really feel zoned into the games.

Headphoned up all the time here.

Mrs isn't a big fan of my noise, in fact last night she complained that my mouse button clicking was annoying!
