How many real friends you got?

I tend to lose touch with people so my friends kinda change over time. I normally have no more than 4 or 5 in my "inner circle" at a time.

As it stands, there are only 3 i'd consider proper mates, who i'd call in an emergency.
 
5 true friends, and I wouldn't want any more than this at any one time. On top of that a fair few 'acquaintances' who I see out and about or via work.

My friends circle generally changes every few years though as I move around a fair bit.
 
Ermm.. 2 or 3 realy.

I've distanced myself from a lot of people since being diagnosed with IBS, most of the things they enjoy I can't seem to!

I don't let it get me down v.often though :)
 
Well, friends are people i know i could phone when im in a difficult situation and theyd bail me out, of which i have .... 7 i reckon.
 
I think a poll would be nice.

Do you have proper friends you seen often and can rely on?

-No?

It leaves room for anonymity. As I don't see a lot of people owning up to it.

I have two "real" friends who stuck by me when I was ill. Before my illness started 5 years ago I had about 15 very close friends who I went out with on a regular basis, but most of them never bothered to visit me when I became ill. It's at times like that that you realise who your real friends are.

It's not uncommon for even geekazoids and nerdlings to have "real" friends, you know... :p
