How many spam telephone calls do you get a day?

3 a day on average probably, but we don't really answer the landline any more unless expecting a call, its a bit of a joke really.

Fortunatly so far on mobiles we've not had any problems with it.

I just say "NO" in a monotone voice and put down the phone.

"Would you have time to help us with a survey?"
"NO" *click*

"We're ringing you about insurance for..."
"NO" *click*

It's all died down now. I gave up being polite to cold callers a long time ago. :)

It was 3 or 4 day at all times.

The phone is unplugged now.

Having the ability to block numbers on the mobiles now is great as well, they dont even get put through to voice mail it just hangs them up straight away.

I dont get any on my mobile, only follow ups from microsoft for tickets i created with them about 8 months ago. im never usually in enough to get spam on the house phone, don't seem to call in the evenings.

Think I've been lucky with my new assigned home phone.

Haven't had a single cold call that I know of since July.

What ever happened to the phone that was promoted on Dragons Den, that screens all calls which are not part of the phones database. The person leaves a short messages and then stays on hold until you vet the call.

This was it. https://www.truecall.co.uk/home.aspx

To be honest, why does anyone need a landline these days, suppose women do cause they spend hours and hours nattering, but as a man my mobile has served me. I have the internet but never connect a landline to it.

About 20 a month, mostly from "out of area" numbers that we just don't answer anymore. We are ex-directory and registered with the TPS (which doesn't work) yet they still get our number from somewhere.
