How many times have you been stoped by the cops?

3 times, all within a week. asked the same questions, is this your car when did you get it, are you insured. then they left me. the 3rd time the police van followed me all the way to my house, i pulled on to my drive, had my key in the door and they came up to me and said, "oh thought you were someone else" then left.

4 times.

1 - Speeding
2 - Left my rear fog light on (LOL)
3 - General Stop Check
4 - Apparently not wearing my seatbelt (harnesses so he couldnt see i had them on)

only got in trouble for the speeding

(turns out though, after i had my car re-MOT'd, such is the law, that it wasn't a rust hole at all, and was just where some previous welding had crossed over and left a gap. The guy who MOT'd the car 2 months before launched an official complaint against the policeman in question as he had jeopordised his workmanship, and the copper was suspended. oh dear)

Sounds like his "workmanship" wasn't too hot if he left gaps between the patches he welded on.

Myself, 0.

My mates with me in the car, 3 times. :)

2 cos my mates drive like ***** and just bring attention to themselves and 1 cos my mate just passed his test and had a banger so police thought they would check it over.

Twelve years of driving and I've never been stopped whilst driving.

I've been stopped twice on foot though, on the same night, and questioned but they were looking for a local troublemaker and stopped me because I had my hood up (it was freezing) and didn't stop when they shouted at me (I had my headphones on).

So, um, never. Knock on wood.

Do RBTs count?:p(Random Breath testing?)

If so then i have been stopped once:)

Walking around town they have come and pulled up next to me to stop me to see why i was walking around the town so late about 3 or 4 times:p

Its not unusual to be pulled over just for a car check or an RBT or something along those lines + other reasons down here.

Driving since '99 stopped - never :)

I have a photo of me the day i passed my test in my old mans car and
i look about 12, still never got stopped thou :D

Andy

Twice.
once was a just random stop in town, they were pulling loads of people and the second times on christmas day the other year. His reasos was when he drove past i moved my head to the left in what seemed an effort to hide my face from him....he then told me my car never had an MOT (when i blatanty did) and i was given a producer:rolleyes:

Once went through a red light very early on a Sunday morning. Didn’t see them behind me, was still waking up, I apologised and they let me go!

Not been stopped so far but had a bit of an argument with some bloke who reckoned he was off duty when I was parked up. Was 4pm and still light and he was moaning about putting my lights on  My mate told him to **** off - no cars turned up and no chase ensued.. *shrug*

7 or 8 in 10 years of driving.
Number of fines or points 0 had a few verbal warnings and thats it, I can usually blag my way out of anything like minor speeding.
Once had the documentation for my rifles checked, in other words the copper had nothing to do and came across me by chance.

once, driving home at about 10ish, popped into an industrial estate and hung my rear end our round a roundabout. Was feeling ever so chuffed as i'd nailed it so nicely until a van turned into the estate and switched their blues on.
Got a telling off and a producer, scared the bejesus outta me but weirdly their main comment was "if you crashed no-one would find you till the morning..."

Till i was 25 Untold.
25-29 a few.
29-42 Never.
I won't bother going in to my driving history as it will just be met with OMGZ MOH etc etc etc

Once, after my car came up on ANPR because the clone had done something naughty. 4 people in the car, boot full of stuff, must have looked a bit dodgy :D

Twice.

First: they had a call about a stolen silver car (was in silver clio)
Second: I was speeding so fair enough really.

WHen I had the modded 206, countless times. At least once a week. Only one worth mentioning was getting caught (excessively) speeding on the A3 4 years. I knew I was caught and I voluntarily pulled over before they even put the blue lights on. That worked in my favour slightly in that I didn't get a ban, 6 points and £300 instead.

Now I never speed after that incident :)
