Don't get me started - Rick Stein's restaurant is a travesty - Poor service, ,ediocre wine list, and completely uninspiring food.Solac said:Most I have payed was about £100 a head when I was at Rick Steins, worth it.

Absolutely. I don't care what a meal costs, provided I feel it was worth it. If it was, I'll go back. If it wasn't, I won't.Freefaller said:It depends what I'm eating, where I'm eating, what country I'm eating in, what I feel it's worth.

I'm on the waiting list for El Bulli - with any luck, I'll get a table come 2009.
In the meantime, The Fat Duck at Bray it is![]()
Same here. Usually pay between £10-£50 per person. Somtimes more somtimes less. I find it hard to go into town and justify going to fast food places when there are very good restaurants who offer much better value for the same kind of price or just a little bit more e.g.Freefaller said:It depends what I'm eating, where I'm eating, what country I'm eating in, what I feel it's worth.

I'll pay whatever the food is worth. If its worth 50p I begrudge paying a quid, if its worth £100 for a 3 course meal then its been fantastic and I don't mind paying it.
