How much AS 5 on E6600?

Gonna apply some Arctic silver 5 to my conroe but am unsure, can i use the blob pea sized in the middle number?

I use a bit about the size of two grains of rice and spread it very very thinly on cpus with a heatspreader.

Bitching my cpu temp is 29c now. Not sure on load so will test later.

Full load is 40c so im happy with that.

about 1 & half grains of rice and just put the HS on, strap it down n give it a wiggle. Thats the was it says on the webby.

This stuff is great i have to say - i used it for the first time on Friday and before that my idle temps were aroun 30-33degrees but now even at 3GHz my temps range from 16degrees-27degrees straight out of the bios..

speedfan says the same too.

I used some equal to about 1 and a half grains of rice on my E6300 and it looks to be working nicely though. It takes 200 hours to properly "break" in though

With one of these and a blob of Arctic Silver 5...

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU.

Does the job nicely too. Full load is about 40c which is good for me.

At what fan speed, frequency and voltage and what's the coretemp?

Cpu fan speed is 1041 rp, core is at stock as is volts. Max load is 38/40c on this E6600.

From coretemp the program? That very low are you sure that's not from probeII or similar, because the motherboard sensors give the wrong temperatures by 15C.

Sorry mate no thats from Asus PC probe 2. Coretemp shows something like 50c/40c bothe cores. Bios shows more or less the same as pc probe though.
