How much AS 5 on E6600?

Does anyone know why everest and coretemp say the temp is 33c then 48/47c?


These are idle temps, and I have just added another fan on the top of the inside of my P180 case. It is quite hot today though. :)

First is the motherboard sensor, the other two are the on die core diodes. The way to look at is the motherboard sensor is the temperature the HSF/WC will see, the core diodes are used by the cpu to control the throttling etc. The main limit has to be from the core diodes, the core/IHS solder begins to melt at 77C so its has to start throttling lower than that I would think.
