How much disposable do you have?

Enough not to die, but not enough to make me happy.

<Insert rant about working in London and being paid same as other UK sites>

Never enough. Why, this month I've only been able to buy three Cartier wristwatches and one case of Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve. :(

At this rate I shan't be able to keep the butlers! Good heavens!

Why rent and not mortgage with that amount of disposable income?

Because I haven't decided if I want to stay in Aberdeen or not and have recently (last month) made the jump to contract which means I need 2 years of personal accounts.

Renting has its benefits at the moment.

OK.... What ? ?

Have a search, I've posted what I do in great detail in most of the job threads on here, also started the big one "Perks of jobs - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17897423&highlight=startername_kahn "

I'm in the process of moving to a new rented place and I've worked out I'll have around £500pm to do with as I please, looking to stick at least £100pm in savings though need to start being a grown up :(

wow a Structural Design Engineer... impressive.

Loads. I just wish I knew where it all went every month. Still got £2715 of debt on my credit card but after every month it's nearly always the same !

I'm starting a budget/spend spreadsheet from today as it's payday and it'll be a good idea to see where it all goes.

I miss those days! How I managed to survive on nearly a 3rd of what I get now I'll never know!

Divide that by a third and you get the amount that 99% of students don't spend on going out and random stuff that they don't need.

Then put that all into noodles and you have a student!
