How much do you spend in bills each month?

It's hard to say as it depends on what stage you are in life, if you're young it can be done pretty cheaply, add a kid / cars / nursery / pets it gets nuts :)

Yeah, but you have to put up with living in Scotland!

*ducks for cover*

You have a point, the restrictions on alcohol consumption by those party poopers at the Scottish executive are grim , horrendous alcohol prices and a lower Drink Drive
limit make one think of decamping across the border to our Tyneside buddies [ who think they are English but aren't really ]

5 bed detached (family of 4)

Mortgage £614.13
Council Tax £143
Gas&Elec £67.11 (outfoxthemarket)
Water £47
House Insurance £23.77
TV Licence £12.37
SkyTV&BB £82.37

Then there's the car, so car insurance and petrol
Food, swimming, mobile phones, trust funds for kids

The wife & I pay £130pm each into a joint bills account where all the regular household direct debits come out of.
We've no mortgage as house is paid for, so our biggest monthly expense is council tax.

Other than that, sky/BB is £110pm & food is £250pm.

My personal total outgoings per month are around £380-£400

...

PS: as I'm sure you've noticed english is not my mothertongue...

Better English than most on here.
