How much do you spend on food a week/month?

I spend a good £50 on supermarket shopping per week for myself. That's eating meat at least twice a day though and always getting 5+ fruit/veg per day. I don't know how people can eat healthily for less!

lol I manage on £35 a week that includes (bb'ing diet)

approx 6 servings of food a day with good amount of proteins (chicken/fish/beef/cottage cheese e.t.c ) I also get at least my 5 a day too for example i have had an apple, tomatoes, 2 oranges, cranberry juice, potatoes en counting...

edit: I make my own soups, pasta sauces, you would be surprised at the difference in cost it makes compared to buying a 'fresh' soup or something from a supermarket..

well it can be done because I do it! We don't have meat very often maybe 2 a week and I cook everything from scratch, all sauces, soups, cakes and biscuits and pastry etc.. and children either come home at lunch time or take a pack lunch plus I don't buy alcohol :D

I give my parents £200 a month, that gives me meals at home, and for work, but I also get stuff myself, spend about £4 a day 3/4 days a week :) so about £16 a week..

When at home, the rents average around £450-600 a month. 4 of us.

When I'm at uni I get by on £30 a week from ASDA (max) if I dont buy crap from the corner shop.

£60-80 a week for two adults (me and the mrs)

I have to say though, it's mostly her stuff :o

About £50 per week on myself. I know I could eat for quite a lot less, but I pay for convenience and not eating pre-packed value stuff.

I no longer have to watch the pennies, which is a nice change. I'm still poor, but I'm not poor and laden with debt. I don't go out and pour £50 of booze down my neck every week and I don't have a car, so I'm all right for money. Especially since B&M opened a branch nearby - I can go in there, come out with 4 bags full of food and spend less than £10.

Hardly anything, I work in an Indian Restaurant, I can pop in and cook my food anytime I like, sometimes even on my day off I go in and cook up a takeaway and then bugga off with food in hand, If I'm feeling really cheeky I'll even steal away a few Cobras as well :D.

Actually been boring myself with finances this morning, seems me and gf get through about £50 a week, average for the month is about £190

It does seem a lot, especially as we go every week there is always loads. Meat seems particularly expensive but fruit and veg isn't too bad. Free range eggs are quite expensive too. We don't buy any ready meals, crisps, biscuits or pop so I'm not sure what we could cut out to reduce it?

You jammy git :p

£200-£250 a month for a family of three + three cats.

Combination of Tesco/Morrisons/Iceland = Lidl + Market/Butchers.

Eat fresh meat and fruit & veg.

Anybody who spends more doesn't know how to shop properly! ;)

Id like to get some more info on how you do that as I have just started BBing as well and am looking to bulk and eat big daily.

Im not sure how some of you manage on so little. I need some lessons in how to shop for cheap. Thing is, I buy everything on offer that I can and I don't buy cr4p. I buy good stuff and try to make our own meals where possible.
