I don't drink alcohol yet , but have always wondered how much those who drink, spend on alcohol say on a weekly basis?, more so those who go to pubs etc.. I am just curious to know.

Probably 2 or 3 beers a week at home. = 5 pounds max
Probably 1 or 2 beers if I'm at pub. = 8 pounds max

Wild!

I bet the licensees of Cardiff are crying that you haven't been in for a while.... I can't recall ever having gone out for a few beers and having less than six pints. Often more. I admit being alarmed when I check how little cash I have come home with, after going out with £100. The last few months have seen me have perhaps 1 or 2 pints at home, most nights. No cigs at all, so the saving on pub spending and a driver has been substantial.

Normally have 1 or 2 beers after work. And depening on whats happening at the weekend may have a few.

And then have At least 1 X 7 day period every 3 weeks of no drinking at all.

I pretty much don't drink now. I will go out once in a while, but it's so expensive. A day drinking/eating will easily be over a £100.

Out once a month usually includes food and 8 to 10 drinks is £80 to £100.

Don’t drink much at home (although have done during lockdown), usually just get 4 beers or other drink - usually £10 max and more often £5.

Don't really tend to go out much, so me and the other half will have a few quiet drinks at home, bottle of wine a couple of nights a week @ ~£8-12/bottle, or a few beers or ciders, usually £5-6 for 3.

Tend to have a half decent bottle of £30-60 single malt on the shelf, for the occasional dram, but that lasts 4-6 weeks.

Every couple of months we'll grab £40-50 of spirits and have a laugh making some cocktails, so I guess on average *calculates* £30-£40/week.

Thinking about it, that's quite a bit to be wasting, although we're cutting down atm anyway

Don’t drink at home and never have. Also generally only drink when I’m out with mates on a **** up, which happens less and less as we all get older. Probably spend £100 on such nights but they are generally only once every few months.

Will have a pint on a Sunday afternoon after playing football but that’s purely down to pear pressure as asking for a Diet Coke will set me up for an hour long roast from the rest of the team:)

It depends where we go. In BC (before coronavirus) I'd rarely go out just for drinks because I'm not a teenager anymore :p So if it's a couple of pints before a cheap meal maybe that totals £10 on beer and £25-30 on food. If I'm at a restaurant with my girlfriend and it's somewhere decent we might have a beer or cocktail first and spend anything from £40-120 on a meal depending.

The days of going out and spending £50 on booze alone are long gone. I hit about 2 pints (or about 8.30pm, whichever comes first) on an evening and need food :p

Generally a few cans a month so maybe £15 or so depending what I'm drinking. Never really go to the pub but if I do maybe 3 or 4 so maybe £15/20 max.

Used to go out and knock back £90 on a night out but those days are long gone.

I prefer to spend my money on car park charges for kayaking, going to beach and the fuel to get there! :D

So by look of it, most spend roughly £100 a month which isn't that bad at all as I thought most would spend way more!

Not much of a drinker since having kids. They're 10 and nearly-7 now, so still take a lot of my time.

At home, rarely have more than one beer in an evening, and tend to have more no-beer evenings than beery ones.

And even then, it's usually just a cheap French or Belgian 'stubby', rather than anything interesting. Just drinking for refreshment rather than any alcohol effect.

Pub, usually maybe once every 6 weeks, pre-covid, 5 pints ish, so change from £20.

Then sometimes play poker or have a bbq, and sink a few.

I reckon £25 a month covers me, generally.
