How much do you spend when you go out in pubs or drink alcohol at home?

I don't really go to pubs that often anymore. Only on special occasions.

Drink about 6 bottles or cans a night, 4 or 5 times a week. Maybe a bottle of nice red at the weekend. I rarely drink enough to feel it the next day. The other nights I don't drink. I drink too much, but then I own a brewery so it's a little hard not to.

Usually drink every other day, either 3 cans of Lupoloid/Five O'Clock Shadow or 3 glasses of wine. Started to feel terrible in the mornings though, at 51 I really should cut down as it's more of a habit than anything particularly enjoyable. If I go out I try to limit it to 4 pints (and bonus kebab).

The time I was in lockdown I was spending precisely £5 per week on 3 x 660ml bottles of Warsteiner in my weekly click & collect from Tesco, which I’d enjoy while watching The Last Leg on a Friday night. I also occasionally threw in the odd Krombacher, because variety is the spice of life.

I’ve not been to a pub since before Christmas now.

My go to local craft beer place has a 440ml can for £5.50 or a 750ml bottle for £12.50. They are a 9% stout with a rich flavour with hints of chocolate and coffee. Makes Guinness taste like water in comparison.

i dont have a set limit, if i feel like having a beer ill have 1. At home its maximum of 6 a week and maybe a few drams.

Me and the lads have a summer all day drinking session which can hit £200 for a day in Manchester.

I get the 4 bottles of ale for £6 at the supermarket, sometimes those 4 last me a fortnight lol.

On a night at the pub with mates I'll usually have 3-4 pints and a rum. This was usually twice a month, so all together about £40-£50 worth of alcohol a month.

Pub: 10-12 pints most Fridays. Couple more on Sunday if I went out for lunch. My regular place is now closed and sold though so keen for that pattern not to return.

Home: 1-2 pints a week tops.

Suffice to say I've saved a fortune in lockdown.

2-3 pints twice a week with colleagues on the way home from work and a couple of bottles at home of a weekend. £35 -£40.

Now I have 2-3 small pressions out on a Tuesday night and 2-3 bottles at home during the week. €15.

Only tend to drink a shot or 2 of whisky a week so works out less than a £10 a week.

Which I quite like as less than a tenner a week sounds better than way than saying £100 a bottle.

Prefer quality over quantity, so usually spend between £2-£3 a beer. Sometimes buying some cheaper ones or the Tescos 4 for £6 offers can be good. Into my IPAs in the summer weather.

At the moment I am drinking probably 5 nights a week, but I will have 1 or 2 max, very rare to go above that. I am actually going to see if I can cut down a bit so aiming for 4 nights a week instead of 5 :P

I like a good drink more for the flavour than the getting wasted experience, but some of those Belgian ones can creep up on you when they are like 10%!

I have no idea how somebody could consume 12 pints in one session.

Over the space of one night out with my mates 12 pints were easily downed - In the pub for 8 and not out the nightclub till 3am gives you an awful lot of time to drink.

Dont do it now though, but the first pint always goes down fast.

Used to go twice a week to our local alehouse. Spend between £25-40 each time between the 2 of us as prices vary on craft beer.
Went in the week and did the same after not being there since early March. Struggled the next day as I'm out of practice.

20 pints of water and going the toilet every second swig doesn't count

Maybe over your way the lads are like that :)

These are 20+ stone blokes who’re seasoned drinkers. I’m sure if @Freefaller was around he’d have similar stories to tell.

It’s not exactly a good thing either, expensive hobby when you can knock that much back and it must be wreaking havoc on their organs.
