How much do you spend when you go out in pubs or drink alcohol at home?

Two or three drinks a month? Maybe? It's so infrequent as to hard to measure.

Cost atm: £0. Working my way through some homebrew my brother gave me :p (What doesn't kill you makes you stronger - which is also what I tell people when I cook dinner)

Normally have 1 or 2 beers after work. And depening on whats happening at the weekend may have a few.

And then have At least 1 X 7 day period every 3 weeks of no drinking at all.
Read that as "normally have one or two beers at work"... briefly wondered what the heck job you could possibly have :p

I don't drink alcohol these days. But when I used to go out with friends at the weekends I'd spend about £20 to £30.

On the weekends a lot of pubs have specials on. They would charge half price for second one. So it works out not so much the more you drink.

A lot seems to depend where you live for the cost of a pint.

Maybe 16 on an empty stomach.
Of course everyone can do 16 Buds, heck mother Teresa could do two dozen of them and still be sober enough to do what even she er... did....
Can't do any amount of lager at all. Inflates me like a balloon :p

I am physically unable to burp :( :( :(

i just walk across the road :D

Where do you live?

This is half hour further.
Id prefer this view for my first Sunday out of lockdown. Not a bedroom ceiling and a headache! :D

I normally only drink on a Wednesday after work at the pub. Can't drink more than about 4 pints but it costs £5.10 a pint in my local (Adams dry hopped lager)

I'll also usually drink 4 cans on a sat night at home so about £4.50 there for something like hobgoblin gold.

Wife doesn't drink much so we sometimes open a bottle of wine, she has a glass, I have two. Save the rest for a few days later. I will normally stick to two nights drinking a week tho.

wow not going to say what i drink a week but add all yous up and something near ..lol
chef so we lot do drink a bit .. if i did say 3 bottles of rum a week is that to much ? but we won't count the beer

but we won't count the beer

Haha made me chuckle. I feel guilty the next morning when I drink too much, like I am doing bad things to my body and it will catch me out one day. I think that's why I don't drink too much. I always have a lot of alcohol in the house, i think because my wife doesn't drink often I don't feel the urge to raid the cupboard or fridge!

i'm still up every morning at 5:00 at work by 6am .. doing a 9-10 hr shift but most are splits .. home by 8-9 .. never drink before 6pm .. well unless it's a day off :P

Drinking at home I'd say about £20-30 - perhaps 2-3 bottles of wine and maybe a few cans or bit of spirits.
Rarely go out these days but when I do it might be same sort of spend again.

I'm genuinely surprised how much people drink. I thought it would be lower

Feel guilty buying the 3 for 2 offers just for health.

Normally only really go to the pub now (or back when we could properly) when there's rugby on and a few of us will spend the day in the pub that gets £LOL expensive but only happens a couple of times a year.

Drinking at home I'll pick up the odd couple of bottles of real ale or craft stuff once or twice a month so probably only £20 or so.

During lockdown I've been doing quite a bit of home drinking. Usually 8 cans of IPA for £9 plus a pizza, so about £15 per session.

I've been getting up to 3 or 4 times per week which is obviously mounts up. I haven't been drinking out in town for ages as a similar amount drunk would be about £50! I've got a young family so misappropriation like this isn't acceptable, although I accept lockdown has drawn mew into similar spending levels.

A lot but the stuff I drink can be £6-10 a can

night in pub with missus £50-80 local, can be double that if we go into Nottingham

I don’t drink anymore. I was one of those that never had a limit and the nights would get too messy. Plus once having to get fighting fit for MMA all those things went out the window.
I’ve spent as much as £200 in a night, but I don’t see this as a sustainable amount though, but can imagine the prices are even more expensive going out now.

I reckon you could quite happily reach that for some of the stronger craft stuff in a pub/bar.

Some of the limited edition bottled stuff from Fuller’s would set you back that much. A pint of ESB was over £6 last time I had one (summer 2018), so you can easily spend that sort of money on draft beers.

I thought he meant 10 quid a can from the supermarket and the second line was for in the pub. Didn't know buying cans in a pub was really a thing, maybe 330mls in a microbrewery or something, but they could never be a tenner.
