I'm sure none of the people here protesting about using length of ownership to calculate value have never happily bought a bar of chocolate for say £2 that's twice as big as a £1 one, knowing it will last them twice as long...
No one is saying if you buy a £400 GPU it will last you twice as long as a £200 one. People are saying that because they use their GPU a lot (and sometimes in lieu of other hobbies/expenditures) they don't see it as poor value, the same as if I'm hungry or just fancy a snickers I'll get the bigger one because I want to. Just because a yorkie is cheaper doesn't suddenly make me think a snickers is poor value.
