£1250

I do however feel much better after seeing what Drexel has spent!!

I know, it's painfull when added up :(

It's funny though because I wouldn't dream of shelling that out in one go. It just kind of built up over the time I owned the car.

£3.3k on the car (98 1.8 Civic VTI)
£1800 on insurance (first year no NCB)
£800 on garage work (suspsension bushes, discs and pads, Eagle F1 tyres all round, gearbox oil, anti-roll bar links and a service)
£150 on headunit (Pioneer DEH-7700MP)
£250 on speakers (Infinity 5.25" components and Infinity 6x9"s plus shelf material)
£70 on a new door mirror casing+fitting
£50 on a wheel arch liner+fitting
£50 on bulbs, air fresheners, wiper blades etc

So about £3.2k plus the car really. Insurance comes down a grand for fully comp come renewal time hopefully.

£4k on the car (but split 2k each with my old man as a 21st pressie)
£1700 on insurance over 3 years
£1k on alloys and tyres
£800 on ICE
£800 on private reg
£600 on Dastek Unichip
£400 Koni adjustable suspension
£350 on Poweflow exhaust

and probably 1k on fitting / service and MOT costs over the past 3 years

hmmm thats too much :(

12K for the actual car - Honda Accord 2.0 Sport (new shape)

In last 12 months
£120 for two new (both - not each) front Michelin 225 /45 / 17 Heavy load sport tyres
£265 for insurance
£180 tax
£155 for a full service, stamped on booked no corners skipped
Around £1200 on fuel

So, running costs since Feb 2005 - Feb 2006 around £1920. Had the car for 14 months, in the first 2 months brought around £40 cleaning stuff and that was it.

So, with the car, and 12 months running £13960 including cleaning costs. Not bad for a 03 Honda Accord.

Ive owned my racing puma since november 2005 and so far i have spent around £1300 keeping her running with another £800 + bill coming in the next 3 weeks. (Tax MOT new clutch and a few other problems need sorting )

Sam

mods, servicing and repairs only.

£2800

thats quite scary, especially since the car is covered under BMW warranty.

thats before i take into account petrol / insurance / mot / tax etc. etc. :(

Hmmm, lets see:

Magnecor Leads: £50
ITR Gearbox inc fitting: £450
HKS 4-2-1 Manifold inc fitting: £300
8000K HID's: £200
Mongoose Full System: £385
S2000 Push Button Start £30
ITG Replacement Filter Element: £40
ITG Maxogen Induction kit (bought but not fitted): £175

So thats about £1630 :( excluding ICE which i'm not going to include as it will make me sad, and the fact it was donored from the 306. And that doesn't even include the wheels and suspension which are yet to be done which will be at least half again. Must say though that it has been worth it :)

ouch :o

Once the dent in my bonnet is sorted (next week hopefully), I'm going for AVO Sports spring kit.. fully adjustable.. so taking front down 20-30mm and rear down 50mm so it sits level \o/

Got a pic of someone who did the same, from pumapeople forum -

I think I have been relatively sensible with my mods though.

£400 number plate which is an investment
£400 + painting hardtop which will also hold its value. If I can wholesale them, maybe some profit too.
£370 ITG kit, got rpped off in a second hand sale so had to buy new.
£245 remap, discounted and I needed it to complement the exhaust and ITG

Effectively got a spare set of alloys for the cost of the tyres alone.

I think given the exhaust was free I could recoup all of the money if I had to.
