How much is your water bill?

Just had our new bill through for this year.

Up from £57ish to £63 per month on rates. We used to pay around £35ish per month in the apartment we've just moved from on a meter.

Ive just checked with our local water board and they said we can go onto a meter and if we dont like it we can switch back to unmetered anytime up to 2 years from when they installed it.

Might give it a punt as paying quite a bit more.

Family of 4 - large house, garden, dishwasher, washing machine. We have a meter as well.

We pay 2 companies... One for supply, one for waste water.

£17 and £10.03.

We're in credit but we do use a lot of water - so I'm surprised! Especially in the summer for the pool and watering the garden etc...

It does seem to be pretty rare to end up worse off getting a meter vs rates, which isn't what you'd initially expect as once you're metered you aren't allowed to go back, so you'd assume you'd be worse off long term.

£6 per month, I pay for one of the supplies here, the other one said not needed, I think it's fresh water I pay for (Portsmouth Water).

Just me, metered supply.

£17 a month just me, unmetered but we just got a £30 rebate, don't pay for waste as our hill has a shared cess pit somewhere that costs 20 quid or so every couple of years

£17pm metered, I would consider my usage to be quite low. Two housemates here Mon-Fri use equally little. Half a dozen showers a week between us, one wash load, one car wash and WFH 2 days a week so a few more toilet flushes than usual. Away at the weekend.

Sounds like you would be a couple of hundred better off annually on a meter.

We have had no water for 12 hours today, still off now. Leak just outside the village. They said it would be back on at 5pm so only 6 hours late and counting.

Did fill a few things up but as they said 5pm we didn't fill up enough.
