2GB.

God, i remember my old Stak computer with 16mb of memory, cost about £1200 as well!

Had older and slower, but that point sticks in my head, it was an impressive beat at the time.

2 gigs - But I'm not sure if my system ever uses that much.

Even after gaming, when I check the task manager, under commit charge, the peak never seems to be higher than about 1 gig. Is there a more reliable way of measuring how much RAM your system is using?

16GB spread across this machine, laptop a server and a cruncher.

Still playing with settings. Only had them a week! So far for benchmarking purposes I ran two sticks at DDR1022 2:3 at 5.4.4.10 @2.2v and CPU at ~3.2ghz @ stock vcore. Happy with them so far! but still loads of tweaking to do! No experience of the other 4gb sets on the market. So hard for me to compare.

i see. im tempted to pick up 2 sets of the stuff but ive yet to meet many with them. and i dont want to make a very expensive mistake.

When I built my main computer, 18 months ago, the 2 x 1gb crucial PC3200 sticks cost me £228.00.
It is amazing how far memory prices have dropped.

its pretty damn annoying. about 3 months ago i paid £74 for 1gb of GEIL Ul, now 2gb is around that price. :mad:

but i guess it happens
