Just curious what people find sufficient really. I like having a large game collection on hand and also use my PC to store film and TV rips of my discs. Hence I just can't get enough.

I don't want any mechanical hard drives as I love the speed and silence.

Currently have;
2x 2tb Gen 4 NVMe
2x 2tb Gen 3 NVMe
2x 4tb Sata SSD
1x 2tb Sata SSD
1x 128gb USB

I'll be getting one more 4tb Sata before the end of next year... then I'm done lol.

Currently, although I'm looking into a unraid server so...
2x 2tb NVME (gen 4 but one is in gen 3 slot) - one is os and programs, one is scratch/temp drive
6x 1tb Sata SSD's but going to swap out 2x1tb to 2x2tb - documents (2x1tb mirrored storage spaces), downloads, archive type stuff
External 6TB hard drive for 'backups of sata drives'
External 3TB 2.5inch drive
NAS

I have 2 x 2tb Ssd, pointless storing games if you have a fast connection, and stream films and TV series

I like flicking between games and having a digital collection there waiting, just like you would a physical one.

As for streaming it depends. Its definitely good enough but I like to watch my shows all in one place, at the best quality possible (my PC is connected to a home cinema).

13tb over multiple drives. It looks a lot but it’s mostly bolstered by an 8Tb mechanical drive that holds backups and a partition for all my saved media.

5 mins to download a 20gig game, completely pointless storing games, time it takes me to go to the kitchen grab a drink and a snack and it's downloaded

1 500gb nvme
2 x 500gb ssds
I Was a compete horder untill moving over to a synology nas,
talk about game changer!
Plex without having to keep ya pc on every time you want to watch a film is worth it on its own

1x 1TB Nvme (WD Black)
1x 500GB Nvme (seagate)
1x 256Gb Nvme (WD Black)
1x 250GB Nvme (Intel)
1x 500GB Sata6 SSD

That's what's internal to my system so over 2.5TB.

Externally I have a HDD drive that usually I have 2x 1TB drives plugged into but I also have a few assorted 500/250gb drives from previous builds too.

my main system only has

1 x 500gb ssd
2 x 500gb nvme

but i do own much bigger hard drives, i just don't have much use for them at the moment

I simplified my rig a while back to only have one C: drive, which is a 2TB NVMe, primarily to make local/cloud backups easier since they all usually point to the user documents folder. Less drive letters, less faff to remember or configure.

Additionally I have a 2TB SSD with the drive letter hidden via registry, which I Robocopy my C: drive to weekly. This gets encrypted and backed up to cloud storage using Arq at the moment.
I can be up and running from a blank drive within an hour, clone my data back anytime at my leisure from my local copy, and large downloads such as game installs aren't an issue with the gigabit fibre.

Simplify, and your future self will thank you :)
