Depends on what you mean by "your PC". Main rig? All rigs combined?

Main (Gaming and other uses rig)
0GB (But that's because it's dead at the moment :D)
It will become however:
1TB Boot Gen 4 m.2 NVME (Crucial P5 Plus)
2TB Program Storage Gen 4 m.2 NVME (Crucial P5 Plus)
2TB Video Capture Drive SATA3 (Crucial MX500)

Secondary (Current system, backup system in case of such emergencies like the main rig dying, used with living room TV)
250GB Boot SATA3 (Crucial BX100)
500GB Program Storage SATA3 (Crucial MX100)
250GB Storage Drive SATA3 (Currently not in service yet because I need to pull old files from this and remove the Windows 10 license on my account associated with so I can reuse it; originally main rig Boot drive. Crucial M4)

A Windows 98SE Gaming rig:
120GB SATA3 (ATA to SATA card in use)

A NAS has:
3TB x2
500GB USB2 Backup drive

So looking at that, 5TB + 1TB + 120GB + 6.5TB of space. Or roughly 12.7TB of space in between all systems. And not all of that is really required either. The NAS stores all centrally required files, documents, videos, etc that is best served available to all, or is there so it is automatically incrementally backed up so there's less chance of it going *poof* in an accident of some kind and being totally irretrievable. Each rig was spec'd to contain enough space to hold their own programs and games (or what they do) that they were designed to run with some space left over in case more is needed for something new down the line. If more space was required, uninstallation of existing games was done to make room instead for the new game.

4.5TB in mine.

1TB SN750 nvme
500gb Samsung 850 Evo
1TB Barracuda HDD
2TB WD HDD

I don't really use the HDDs tbh other than for storage like docs and photos. Looking into setting up a NAS.

Got 5TB in mine.

1TB NVME for Windows and apps.
2TB NVME for games.
2TB SSD for all other storage.

Only the Windows drive is over kill. Could have got a 500GB instead but thought what the hell.

When i do play games i skip between them, so having them already downloaded works for me.

Just curious what people find sufficient really. I like having a large game collection on hand and also use my PC to store film and TV rips of my discs. Hence I just can't get enough.

I don't want any mechanical hard drives as I love the speed and silence.

Currently have;
1x 2tb Gen 4 NVMe
2x 2tb Gen 3 NVMe
2x 4tb Sata SSD
1x 2tb Sata SSD
1x 128gb USB

I'll be getting one more Gen 5 Nvme and one more 4tb Sata before the end of next year... then I'm done lol.

I'm in the same boat re noise. I have:

2TB NVME partitioned for OS and general storage (non-Steam games, downloads etc)

2TB NVME for Steam library

1TB NVME for photos (hobbyist photographer so that'll probably end up being a 2TB drive at some point).

Backup wise, I'm a bit paranoid. I have Backblaze, but I also use 2x USB C NVME drives for backup images (1 at home, 1 at work, rotating) and an 8TB USB HDD for archiving (drag and drop). I image the OS and photo partitions, but don't bother with game partitions.

1Tb NVME 3.0
2Tb SATA SSD
1Tb SATA SSHD
256Gb M.2, one of the early ones.

Basically the 2Tb is mostly a work drive, the NVME 3.0 is my main drive, and the other two are just carried forward from my last build.

For this PC I'm typing on ...

1 1 x onboard M2 512mb for OS Win 11 only
2 2 x 4TB SSD's for games n stuff
3 1 x 4TB just for MS2020 and future expansion
4 1 x 2TB WD Black for my music
5 2 x NAS's in cupboard that total 16TB for over the top back up
6 1 x And a Partridge in a pear tree :)

I have less storage than I used to in my PC. A 1TB NVME and a 1TB SSD. I do have several TB of drives in other PCs though. Also an 8TB external drive that I bought like a year ago and haven't taken out the box yet.. :(
