Yep AMDs done, been a while now, just face it.
But...but....but....all they surely have to do is 'Ryzen' the gpu market with a few good well-priced products and they'll be back upto 50%+ market share....won't they?.....won't they???.....PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.....

No we haven't. As long as people buy gpus at these prices they will keep making them higher, as customers demanding faster cards and buying them at high prices, we have made these prices high. If 10 people only had bought 2080ti then the price would have dropped. Simple as that.We as customers have lost mate.
AMD has the console market sewn up, not exactly losing. The amount of GPUs Nvidia sell pales in comparison to the amount of GPUs AMD sell in consoles alone.
The difference is, like Apple, Nvidia know how to use brand image to rip people off and keep them coming back for more.

Wonder how much per item AMD is making from each console though? I think I remember NV once pulled out of the running to get their GPU's into consoles - there was little money to be made. Good that AMD have a presence there though as it's a bigger market. Given the way they're turning around the CPU market it's going to be interesting what GPU developments they have coming.AMD has the console market sewn up, not exactly losing. It was this I was thinking of:Nvidia didn't pull out of the running to get into consoles, they weren't even considered because both Sony and Microsoft went with a custom SOC, and Nvidia don't do CPUs so that ruled them out. That left Intel or AMD and AMD makes the better APU's so that's why they won the contract.
It was this I was thinking of:

$500 million profit from the PS3 sounds a lot but that's $10 per console sold
