how often do you change your toilet?

no, it's pretty tasteless really, but i just found it on the interweb and though it would be cool to be able to **** without turning the lights on.

Just buy energy-efficient bulbs, they take about 5 mins to warm up. In the meantime you get a kind of half-light that doesn't burn your sleepy retinas as you pee.

I change mine every month, usually after a particularly rancid crap. Some of my excrement has been known to burn it's way through the floor and drop multiple stories like hot molten magma.
Are you any relative of Sigourney Weaver? Is some alien creature going to burst out of your chest at any moment? :)

surely a toilet will last forever if you keep it clean and use it how it was meant to be used.

some of the ones at uni look like they've been there since the 60s and only had the seats replaced.

ermm changing my toilet soon because the bathroom is getting done out but normally I would NEVER change it!!

you would be suprised how many B&Q sell of a weekend "Toilet To Go" for near 70 quid also "Basin To Go" is popular

Generally you only need a new toilet when the old one breaks which is years and years, or when you replace the bath, sink, etc.

Why would you need to replace it otherwise?

And toilets a so easy to repair, and even if the internals need replacing, normally the rest of it can stay.
So yeah, only if the entire bathroom is being re-done.

I replaced the toilet in our downstairs loo, the previous one was only about 10 years old but was AVOCADO.

The biggest nightmare is that the old loo had the waste pipe going into the ground and I couldn't find a toilet that would fit without boxing up behind it so I ended up filling in the hole in the ground and getting someone round to drill a big hole in the wall and move the soil pipe to a horizontal type.

We replaced the upstairs loo with a close coupled one a few months ago (the old cistern was leaking and we couldn't get a replacement that would fit in).

I never want to do it again - the new one had a pinhole leak under the pan, something that took us about a week to find (after the struggle to fit the loo).

every time i make a poo :) ?

but to be honest - never, why would you want to change the toilet? maybe only when you want replace the very old bad looking one, or when you want to referbish your bathroom,

My loo is approximately 103 years old it's been in the house since it was built as have the bath and sink all of which still works fine so no need to change. God love the victorians they new how to make stuff that lasts!

After a Vindaloo... OOOKAY, Too much?

I only replace the toilet when I replace the whole suite. I change the toilet seats more often though. But I'm talking probably twice between the installation of a new suite and the installation of the next suite :p
