How often do you turn off your PC?

I shutdown when I'm not using the machine for a reasonable amount of time (30 minutes +)

Sleep/hibernation and fast startup disabled - an extra few seconds starting up is a small price to pay for stability. My main rig uses 1W when 'off' according to Home Assistant, idle power usage is around 80-100W.
 
PC is on from when I wake up and off when I go to bed.

its the Plex server as well otherwise it would be off when not in use.

Turn power off at the mains when its off overnight as well.
 
Usually during the night when I go to sleep. Except when the rig is running something that will take many hours to finish, in which case it's left on whilst I'm away from the system so it can complete. Otherwise, when I'm out for an extended period of time as well (more than an hour, which isn't often these days due to unpaid carer duties).

I also prefer shutting systems down and booting in the morning, because if anything happens, I at least know I can check from the boot up stage (as it previously shut down gracefully and so nothing was wrong when it was last on); if anything happened whilst I was asleep, I wouldn't know what happened exactly and might take longer to fix/resolve.
 
I shutdown every time I’m finished playing a game, I don’t tend to switch the psu power switch off at the back though, unless I’m away for a few days ir more.

Is it good practise to turn off the psu switch on back of case after every use?

I only built my pc the other week.

Every time i've finished using it (gaming only PC). It's a shame DDR5 systems don't boot like the old DDR4 builds.
Do you know why this is? I have a ddr3 build and at first was looking forward to 'blazing fast' nvme gen5 speeds and the amazing boot times to follow untill I looked into it and it seems to have gone backwards in some cases

To answer OP I turn off my system every night but work laptop I sleep/hibernate and fully shutdown about once a week

I do not know to be honest with you. I think RAM memory training with DDR5 takes a lot longer than DDR4, which is a large contributor to the increased boot times. Having said that, I recently updated my BIOS (MSI X670E mobo) and upgraded to 9800X3D (from a 7800X3D) and my boot time dropped for c.45 seconds to around 23 seconds.
 
After initial training AMD is much worse than Intel for boot times on DDR5 - you can mess about with Memory Context Restore (and a couple of other related settings) to improve it but that doesn't always have the desired result as it can cause other issues. Booting to a fully loaded desktop on an Zen 4 CPU with DDR5 will typically take about 50 seconds for 32GB and 100 seconds for 64GB - MCR will approx. halve that but is more troublesome than the corresponding fast boot setting on Intel, while on Intel 15-20 seconds for 32GB and under 35 seconds for 64GB. (EDIT: Not had a chance to play around with Zen 5 CPUs like the 9800X3D to see what the difference is there).

There are exceptions though - the Ryzen Z1 Extreme based systems with DDR5 can boot to a fully loaded desktop in under 4 seconds with the right configuration!

I just use suspend after 5 minutes most of the time, wiggle the mouse and away it goes. I do have an older PC which is on 24/7 which does server duties though.
