How often do you wear shorts?

Every day, I’m a postie so I wear them everyday for work. Even in the winter, haven’t wore trousers for work for 5 years at least. Only problem is I have lovey ankle tan lines and the top of my legs are ghostly white compared to the dark tan on the lower legs.

I’ll wear them most of the time for a normal day but jeans on nights out etc.

I've generally been a trousers man except for on holidays / festivals. However I have started wearing them more past couple of years, probably due to more working from home without AC. I've even done the 'smart shirt on top, shorts underneath' thing on video calls a few times.
Generally I don't have an issue wearing trousers in summer and it prevents sunburn, although jeans can get a bit uncomfortable, I prefer chinos in hot weather. But I sweat a lot less from my legs so it's highly uncommon for me to think "oh my legs are so hot I need to take these trousers off", unlike when I'm warning a shirt.

I don't wear shorts in winter though, it's kinda weird going on the school run when its 5C and it's always the same guys wearing shorts, sometimes with a hoodie on top. Their choice what to wear of course but I've always found it a bit odd wearing thick layers on top but then having bare legs.

My 4yo is a bit different from me, he often insists on wearing shorts instead of trousers for some reason.
Nah, flip flops can **** right off. Trainers.
Ah yes. I can't stand flip-flops (find them uncomfortable) and dislike 'trainer socks' too.

Seriously?

Mind you my brother in law is exactly the same, we can be abroad and he'll have jeans and a coat on :)

Seriously. I can wear trousers at 30c but I'd prefer not too obviously.

If I'm sat outside in the shade doing nothing I'll feel chilly if it's below 22c or so. I also adapt to sudden changes of temperature really well. A few years ago we went to Hong Kong in may and they had some unseasonally hot weather. We left home with temperatures just breaking into double figures and arrived in Hong Kong where it was 39c and it didn't bother me one bit.

I would say 99% of the time i'm in shorts, including days into the office. I'm just more comfortable, and prefer to go for shorts/big hoody etc and find that keeps me warm.

I do keep meaning to get some lightweight trousers though to try and look a little bit more respectable without resorting to jeans.

I wait until it's minus 8 then don the shorts and flip flops; obviously, then stick a body warmer and a woolly hat on to keep toasty .......
