How often do you wear shorts?

I wear them year round. They are my preferred clothes for chilling at home, and the weather in England is so mild that they are viable outside for at least half the year.

Can't wear them to work unfortunately.

I do this.
My legs get hot walking. Especially up hills. But my top half feels the cold.
Also better to be in shorts than trousers if get wet too.

What I never wear is jeans. Horrible things!
Agreed, if I am going for a walk I will always wear shorts, as it stops you from overheating. I might bring a jacket, but that can be removed /unzipped. Not an option with trousers!
I like you also prefer shorts in the rain. Wet trousers are nasty.

Yeah exactly. I have my 18 litre backpack with it's nice trampoline back. A thin mid layer, a rain shell and shorts.

I can easily take/add layers on the top. But my legs (bare) can take a big range of temps and conditions.

If I don't know what the conditions are going to be like I'll always opt for shorts in spring to autumn. Maybe winter might need trousers of some description. But even then its usually leggings and shorts

Most. Of my clothes are outdoors types. And even more as a £ ratio.

I saw a guy jogging in shorts and flip flops earlier, I was equally confused and equally impressed that he didn't fall over.
