Mid-forties here. Been on this forum for almost 19 of them! My interest in PC gaming has come and gone, did some console gaming for a while out of convenience, but I always come back to building my own PC. Some of my earliest proper memories are going to dingy independent PC stores with my dad, I still remember going to get a hard drive that could stored hundreds of megabytes of data; I couldn't believe they could fit that all in something so small. It blows my mind when I think you can get a micro SD with TBs of data.

I used to buy Custom PC every month, despite not being able to afford anything in there. Eventually fulfilled a long held desire to build a full custom water cooled PC a year or so ago.

I was 18 when I first used OcUK forums... now in almost in the 'between 41 and 50 inclusive' category!
Been gaming since i've been around 7 on an Amiga 500, PC and consoles.

48 here, cut my teeth on the rubber keyed speccy and hand held LCD gaming systems.... (I still have a retrowall in my mancave with a nintendo 2 screen donkey kong 2 and a few speccy games (Mr Wino and Sam Fox strip poker and kenny dalglish soccer manager)

my parents - esp my dad - always asked me when i would out grow computer games......... not happened yet!. :D

Old enough to know that I shouldnt spend all my free time gaming, young enough to still be able to, old enough to not care what people think about it

Would be interesting to see a new version of this, when I last voted I was in the top 54% but now in the top 8%

Agreed. And I'm the same, originally in the 54% but now comfortably into the 8% :)

I've been here longer than the Joined date but there was some "Great Reset" or something?

I was a bit late to the party. Missed out on the 64s and first gen consoles, started with an Amiga. I had the first version of the Atari Lynx, that was great. I had a SNES over a Mega Drive.

C64 --> NES --> Win 3.1 for workgrounps --> GeForce 3 ti200 --> Radeon X800 --> Xbox 360 --> PS4 --> RTX2080 --> 7900XTX

How old am I?
at a guess.... mid - late 40s (same as me, tho maybe a tiny bit younger)

My 1st PC was so terrible. it was a "Norton" IBM Blue lightning 486 dx3 75 and it was atrocious. it also cost me close to £1500 inc 2x cdrom and soundblaster 16 soundcard - both of which i bought separate. What made it worse was i had to sell my Amiga 1200 and my CD32 to be able to afford it. (dont ask why i thought it was a good idea to buy a CD32 when i already had an A1200)

i swore then i would not buy another pc and have built all mine since. i remember my 1st overclockers purchase... a geforce 256 DDR :)

I have no clue the exact order of some things or what age I was when I had them, but I started off with a Dragon 32, definitely had a Spectrum of some sort, an Amiga 500 and I know my first real PC was a 386 (this looks very much like it from what my memory is allowing me to remember - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225172535383 - but with 5.25" drive rather than the black monstrosity in it now). I dont remember having much other than a gameboy on the console side and would have played on my mates mega drive in my early teens. I had a Dreamcast first year after I finished Uni, then in my early twenties I had a PS2. I then had a phat proper hardware emulator PS3 when it was first released, then at some point I have collected a 3DS, switch lite, Series S, PS4, Wii U. The only PC games I ever played as an adult were Civ and FM racking up over 11000 hours on them. That all changed on my 46th Birthday last year when I built my umpteenth computer but the first I put a dedicated graphics card into. Since then I've completed loads of games and have even added a ROG Ally to my collection.

40 next month so pretty solid guess!

Started with one of these...
