How old are your clothes?

Not very long for me. I oldest item I own, although not specifically clothing, is a pair of moccasin shoes that are about 7 years old. I recently purchased Saphir Renovateur and it brought them back to life, they look brand new.

Clothes wise, about 1 year ago I began to get all of my shirts/jeans/trousers tailored and, assuming that I take good care of them, and don't put on any weight (I doubt I will,) I can see them lasting for a long time.

I love knitwear, I own a lot of merino sweaters, but the problem is even with the best of intentions and no matter how delicate you are with washing them, drying them flat etc, they do eventually begin to bobble. :( However, you can get very good merino sweaters from Uniqlo for £25 so I am happy!

I've got a pair of 7 year old jeans bought from Topman of all places. I always thought their clothes were on the cheap and crappy side and it's the only thing i've ever brought from there. However they're still going strong and probably get worn about a week in every month.

Jeans bought from just about anywhere else last me about 2 years, always seem to get worn and split in the crotch below my "gooch" area :D

I've got some vintage 60's & 70's clothing that still looks good today.

All the rest is under a year (I like shopping....)

Mostly between 2 and 15 years old.

I hate clothes shopping and will pick up 1 or 2 items a year from Costco or the supermarket.

I keep clothes until they fall apart or aren't suitable to wear in public. Then again I hate clothes shopping and have no interest in fashion.

This is pretty much the way I do it.
I'm sure I've got some combats from around 20 years ago, haven't been able to fit into them for a while but one day.....

LOL about underwear - I have those CK boxer shorts and the elasticated band always comes away from the rest. Barely get 2yrs out of them!

T-Shirts have mixed longevity in them; think i've got 1 T-Shirt 'Box Fresh' which is about 15yrs old and is fitted and still fits really well holding it's shape.

Aside from that, most of my clothes were pretty old/falling to bits, and i've gradually replacing them at much expense. It's good to look decent though, and the ladies love it!

Don't think any of mine are over 5 years old. Usually 'cos they start getting a bit washed/faded/tatty after that.

Got a suit or 2 that is actually coming upto 10 thinking about it.

probably about 0-10 years here as any older clothes i have get relegated to the work clothes pile (i work outside and you don't want nice things getting ruined).
Unfortunately it's getting to the point where soon i am going to have no clothes and only work clothes so will have to actually buy some

If it fits & doesn't have huge holes in it I'll wear it, a massive waste of money trying to keep up with fashion tends is.

I wonder about this as I have some T shirts that are around 8 years old and I love them, there a rather rare blue color and I will be gutted the day something happens to them?
