How to avoid getting food in your beard!

Right, anyone know how to on the above?

I have been growing mine for a little bit (well, goatee backed up by a normal beard), the goatee bit and moustache is just under a inch long and I'm struggling to eat without getting juices/bits all over it.

Is there any special skill to stop it?

And before you ask, I have a full on beard, not scraggly little hairs as my dad started me shaving when I was 10 or so lol.

Oh, growing it because I intend to trade in my Ducati 748 to get a low rider next year so want a beard to go with the open helmet
